How We Met
Venuste and Stephanie first met in 2023 when Stephanie went on safari in Rwanda and Venuste was her guide. Stephanie was impressed by his extensive knowledge of guiding and particularly of the local birds. At the end of the trip, they exchanged numbers to keep in touch. Knowing her love for birds, Venuste had to text her when a special rare visitor was seen at the camp a few days later - a blue malkoha. At that time, Stephanie was across the country at Nyungwe Forest. Much to her surprise, the very next day she had a sighting of the same rare bird while out in the forest! She immediately texted Venuste to tell him. They continued to chat for months until Stephanie returned to Rwanda in 2024, their relationship blossomed into love, and they have been traveling together ever since, sharing their love for birds, nature, and conservation along the way!
