From the second that Patrick first locked eyes with Stephanie he knew there was something special about her. She had just stepped out of the porta potty at Harpoonfest 2021, but Patrick was undeterred, he had to get her to notice him. He was wearing his favorite Rajon Rondo t-shirt and had consumed a few beverages so confidence was at an all-time high. As the night went on she smiled and laughed at a few of his dumb jokes, he was throwing a perfect game. As it happens, they both planned to stay at the same mutual friend’s apartment that night as driving was out of the question (shout out John & Kaitlin). Being the gentleman that he is, he offered her the guest room and took the couch for himself. Having lived in that same apartment a few years prior, Patrick knew the couch was actually more comfortable than the guest bed, chess not checkers. The next morning was where he really shined. As he eavesdropped on Stephanie’s conversation and overheard her talking about entering the dating pool, he knew, this was his moment. Later that night, he penned one of the greatest notes in modern day literature, an Instagram DM that would change both of their lives forever. Stephanie’s phone lit up that night in the middle of a Peloton ride (unbeknownst to Patrick this would become a recurring theme), the message had been delivered. Sweating from both the workout and the anticipation, she waited what felt like days to respond, but ultimately agreed to go out with Patrick. From the beginning of their first date, which began with them both getting ready in that same apartment, conversation was effortless. Their relationship grew over the following months which included many 100 mile trips back and forth between MA and NH. It did not take long for Patrick to realize that she was someone he wanted to spend forever with. For Stephanie, it took a raw display of athleticism to really seal the deal. Patrick was in the middle of a grueling bowling tournament which she agreed to tag along for. After he bowled an impressive 279 that day, while battling through a substantial thumb blister, Stephanie realized she may not be the best athlete in the relationship, but more importantly she realized that if she could watch 5 hours of bowling for him then he must be pretty special. Fast forward three years, with adventures across the world and an island proposal mixed in, and we are so excited to celebrate with everyone in June. You all have had such a big impact on our lives and we are honored to have you all there with us. Love, Patrick & Stephanie
