We're getting married!

Online dating isn't for everyone, but it was for us. We matched on Hinge in June 2022. Patrick will be the first to tell you that it isn't fair I was only on the app for 2 weeks. After talking and getting to know each other over text, we decided to meet in Hudson at the Smilin' Moose for our first date. Patrick was working in Sioux Falls at the time, so we had to make a Sunday afternoon work. I was so nervous, I ended up being 30 minutes early, sitting in my car texting all my friends. We had the best time and it all felt just right. The rest is history!

Patrick was set to travel to Ireland with his family back in 2020 but of course, COVID happened and they had to put a pin it. Thankfully for me, that meant I was able to come along! Fast forward to 2024 and we were on our way. We enjoyed our first few days in Dublin, exploring the city, and immersing ourselves in all the sights, sounds, and beer! The second leg of our trip had us heading to the west coast of Ireland to a beautiful house by the Atlantic, tucked away in the Irish countryside (thanks Michaela!). After everyone settled into the house, we planned the next day which involved a drive out to see the Cliffs of Moher and then a stop in Galway. In the morning, we all loaded up and started the drive to the Cliffs. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to find the sunshine and blue skies. As we hiked around and took photos, Patrick was secretly scoping out the best spot to pop the question. With the help of his sisters, the perfect spot was secured, and everyone was in place for photos. On March 15th, 2024, after taking in the view, I turned around to find Patrick getting down on one knee. With a very [un]lady-like "Holy sh***", I said a very big yes to our biggest adventure yet.
