I travel from abroad. When should I arrive in Iceland?

Answer

We recommend for you to arrive at least a day early - it is a three-hour drive from the Keflavík airport to Grundarfjördur and planes from Europe often only arrive in the afternoon.

Yes, we will have options for you to stay in Grundarfjördur available.

How will I get to the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

The meeting place is Grundarfjördur. Don't worry about getting around from there. We are renting a bus for the day and will take you places!

What can I expect during the event?

Answer

We will have the wedding ceremony in the morning, and will then take you around the peninsula. After a buffet-style lunch, there will be wedding speeches, games, cutting (and eating!) of the wedding cake, and lots and lots of dancing!

Can I give you a wedding gift?

Answer

We are saving up for our honeymoon to Botswana and are happy to receive donations for our trip. Please understand that this is completely optional - many of you will be travelling from far away and many of you are contributing to our wedding with preparations and activities on the day. Our biggest gift will be that you are there with us on our big day!
