A Power Cord and Deep Fried Turkey

Who knew? God did....

Henry and I have worked at the same university for 6 1/2 years so we have "known of each other" for quite some time. Henry is known on campus as being the nicest and sweetest man and that could not be more true. One day in November, 2023, instead of submitting a Help Desk ticket, I decided to email Henry directly to request a power cord for my laptop. Instead of having me come and pick it up, he walked it over to my office. When he got there, we started chatting and he asked if he could sit down and I said, "Of course." We started talking and he was asking me some personal questions about my office decor so, being who I am, I went into great detail about my collection. You know how the energy changes in a space? Well, it certainly did that day. We walked out together and he asked if he could give me a hug. I said "Of course" and so we hugged...for a long time. lol Hmmmm....I said to myself, that wasn't a work hug. That was interesting. A few weeks later, we were emailing again and the topic of the holiday came up and he said he was frying a turkey and offered to bring me some because he assured me he was quite the experienced turkey fryer and I told him how much I love fried turkey. On my way home one day, I dropped by his office to pick up the turkey and the energy shifted again. Somehow, we were no longer talking about fried turkey. lol The flirting was in full effect! And before I knew it, he had asked me out on a date. And I said, "Of course." We went our separate ways because it was the holidays but a few weeks later he called to confirm the date, which he designed as a proper dinner and a movie in The City. That was December 28, 2023. By the end of the date, we both knew that something special had just transpired. As believers, we both affirm that we are each other's answer to our prayers and we are so very blessed and grateful to be uniting in marriage. God is good! Thank you for sharing in our special day. Your presence is a blessing to us!

Working at the same place means we can grab a quick lunch by the water.
We both share a love of and find joy and peace at the oceanfront.
Well, you can't live in the Bay Area without an occasional visit to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Henry takes great pictures at the oceanfront!
We fully committed to each other for the long term at Henry's favorite spot, Goat Rock Beach.
Henry is always surprising me with fun outings around the Bay!
I actually agreed to get on a ferris wheel on our one year anniversary, 12/28/2024. Notice anything about that date?
We both love our teams...they just aren't the same one!! lol KC for the win this day!
