From the Midwest to the West Coast, great lakes to ocean coastlines, only to converge in Northern California in the Spring of 2014. Not long after our first date, we have been together ever since! After seven amazing years, Cory and I took the plunge and promised a long life to each other through our engagement. After much reflection, we are excited to create a special time for our official marriage and celebrate our wedding day on our 10-year anniversary. We're so joyful to have you join us as you've all been anchors in our ride together!

We love Alameda, aka "The Island" and definitely recommend staying here! There are some hotels, but Vrbo or Airbnb will be your best bet. San Francisco is a short 20 minute ferry ride away from the SF Ferry Building. Oakland is a 15 minute drive.
San Francisco International Airport can be a 30-60 minute drive to Alameda. We wouldn't recommend a flight landing in rush hour times (7am-9am// 4pm-6pm). You can take Bart from SFO to Oakland, but would need to take an uber to Alameda. An Uber from SFO to Alameda can run from $40-$60. Oakland Airport is about a 15-minute drive to Alameda.
It's the Bay Area, so it can vary! Usually around springtime, it could be in the high 60s to low 50s. It tends to get a bit windy, but never extremely hot or cold. We recommend checking the weather about a week out and packing layers.

Travel Note
While staying in SF and Oakland will have more options for hotels, we recommend you stay in Alameda for ease and enjoyment. You will have more success finding Airbnb (www.airbnb.com) or Vrbo (www.vrbo.com) rentals for smaller group sizes on the island. Alameda is a "quiet" area so you might find quiet hours starting around 10pm. We also recommend renting or traveling with your car. There's plenty of parking, Uber's are available and plentiful, but just not as much public transportation or "walkable-to" areas as you might find in SF or Oakland.

We live across the street, so come say hello! It spans most of the coastal portion of Alameda island. There's a great park for kids, bike trails, and amazing views of the bay.
One of two "downtowns" of Alameda; you can find restaurants, shops, and the Saturday farmers market here.
One of Alameda's two "downtown" areas. Main area for shops, bars, and restaurants.
Play 18 or 9 holes at our favorite local course. Stop at Jim's on The Course for a great drink, meal, and view.
