Devin's Story: "Sophy and I had been chatting on Bumble for a week. I was just finishing up work on a Sunday afternoon, I finally got up the courage to ask her out. We scheduled a call on Bumble and decided to meet up at Station House in Forest Hills. I was running a few minutes late and I texted her and let her know I was on my way. As I drove by looking for parking, I saw this very serious and beautiful lady standing in front of Station House in activewear. I walked up to her, we made eye contact. We introduced ourselves and hugged. We decided to go for a walk through The Gardens. We just walked and walked and talked and talked and found it very easy to connect with one another. Before we knew it, we had chatted away for three hours. I asked Sophy for her number and shortly thereafter we decided on date number two. We met up for a quick bite at Sunswick in Astoria and walked over to see the new movie about Michael Jordan called 'Air'. At some point during the movie, I reached over and we started holding hands. We haven't let go since." Sophy's Story: "Over our messages on Bumble, I remember being surprised at Devin's thoughtfulness. He'd remember the little details, like Johan's second birthday party, and ask how it was. Devin remembered that I was hosting dinner at my apartment and followed up the next morning, asking how it went. On Sunday, April 2nd, I did something I never do; I showed up for a date in workout clothes. We met around 5:30pm. Being a teacher, I like to go to bed early. I was shocked a few hours later when I looked at my watch and realized it was 9:00pm! Time had flown by. I remember how much peace I felt around him. Devin (or Sug, as we like to call each other) makes me feel cherished, loved and adored. He still opens my car door every time, says grace with me before every meal, and is my biggest cheerleader.
