FAQs

The Wedding Website of Emily Ullrich and David Soop
Here's a collection of answers for common questions. If you need a clarification or further guidance, feel free to reach out to us directly at soopullrichwedding@gmail.com
Question

Where will the wedding be located?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin Texas, rain or shine! There is ample parking on site. The Center is about 25 minutes from airport and about 15 minutes from our recommended hotels.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Wear your dancing shoes and whatever makes you feel happy and comfortable - Sunday best is totally fine, nothing too fancy. The venue has both indoor and outdoor spaces. Texas weather can be unpredictable, so keep an eye on the weather and plan accordingly.

Question

Will there be food & drinks? I have a food allergy or specific dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

There will be appetizers, dinner, wedding cake, and drinks! If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can inform our caterer.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

If you'd like to send a gift from our Registry, you can find it under the "Registry" tab of this site. In addition to registry items, we also have a cash fund where you can contribute whatever amount you like to our honeymoon. However, we know that everyone's situation is different and that traveling to a wedding can be expensive. At the end of the day, your presence is the most meaningful gift to us. In lieu of a gift, please feel free to send us your best marriage advice, parenting advice, or well wishes to soopullrichwedding@gmail.com.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We'd love to meet your babies! If you want to bring a child with you, please give us a heads up so we can plan accordingly. In your RSVP, let us know if you'll require a kid's meal (chicken tenders).

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

If you know for certain your response, we welcome it as soon as able! Instructions to respond online will be included on the official invitations. If you know that you will definitely not be able to come before receiving an invitation, please email us at soopullrichwedding@gmail.com.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Please see the "Travel" tab on this site for info about hotel block reservations and recommendations.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The average April in Austin can be anywhere between 60-80F, with averages at about 68. Spring in Texas can be cool and rainy, sunny and mild, or hot - sometimes all in the same week! We will update here with the forecast as we get closer. Layers are always recommended. Our venue will have an indoor setup in case of inclement weather.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

While we'd love for you to be there, we totally understand! Just let us know as soon as you're able so that we can plan accordingly.

Question

What is the venue like? Is it accessible?

Answer

The University of Texas at Austin Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is the Botanic Garden of Texas. The Wildflower Center’s Central Complex, Central Gardens, and Luci and Ian Family Garden are wheelchair accessible. These gardens are a wildlife sanctuary, and we want our guests to enjoy and respect it as much as we do. The Center has policies against pets (service animals only), smoking/tobacco/vaping of any kind, loose glitter/balloons/confetti, and drones (except those used by our videographer). Please take the time to review the policies and guidelines here: https://www.wildflower.org/visit/policies
