These two have known each other for the majority of their lives—Lauren was the “granddaughter-next-door.” And Zach, the cute boy who lived next to her grandma. As children, they shared a friendship full of playing, teasing, and laughter. Time passed and the kids found themselves on different paths until running into each other again at a bar in their college town. Zach surprised Lauren with a proposal on a family vacation to Orange Beach, Alabama. Zach originally told Lauren he could not attend due to work conflicts in an effort to keep the element of surprise, but he secretly flew down on day 3 of the vacation. It had rained all day, but the bad weather seemed to subside to allow for such a beautiful moment. Lauren was told to get ready to take family pictures and head down to the beach. She was in tears as she stepped off the boardwalk and met eyes with her soon-to-be-fiancé. Zach led her to an area with scattered petals and a dozen roses along with a lit-up sign that read the words “MARRY ME” on the shore.
