Where to start? First lets cover briefly who we are as individuals: Matthew- a man of many words, outgoing, stubborn and hard headed at times but kind and welcoming. Gina- A strong, independent and patient women.Who can be stubborn at times but would do what she can for anyone. Both of us have experienced a lot over the years and we believe that met when we needed it the most. we had our first and second dates at local Applebees restaurants. We took our time getting to know each other. Our first year together was filled with many adventures and memories. We still have many plans in life from creating new memories, home buying and sharing our special day with the people who mean the most to us.

On our one year anniversary Matt had the day planned. We dropped the kids off for a sleep over with my mom and my sister. We had plans to go to dinner and last min he decided we’d go to a hockey game. Before dinner he said we had to make a stop.We arrived at Heritage Park, I thought to myself why are we here in the freezing cold. We walked through the park and sat by the water.I jokingly offered Matt $5 to jump in the water. We were enjoying the piece and quiet which we do not get much of. There was a random guy there fishing who looked kind of creepy and a man across the way taking pictures. Matt was talking about our relationship and what it meant to him , leading him down on one knee. I can see in his face he was nervous but continued to ask me to marry him. After the proposal he told me he wanted to meet someone. All I could think was it better not be that creepy man fishing. He wanted me to meet his best friend, the man taking pictures. Our one year anniversary turned into a memorable and heart melting day.
