If you count when we remember, then we meet freshman year at Cardinal Newman. If you count when we actually met, then we have known each other since babies. Would you believe we attended the same at-home daycare as babies?!
While we didn't run in the same circles in high school, we did have many mutual friends. And two of those friends got married in April 2019 (love you Leeann and Billy). From there, Will and Slayden reconnected and started dating. We lived our life in Charleston enjoying Harry Potter movie nights, hikes, and spontaneous trips to Denver and Vancouver/Whistler Mountain. The pandemic happened and we adopted our beloved puppy, Libby. She fooled us into thinking she was calm and sleepy, but boy is she a bundle of energy that loves to play, and is solar powered. We relocated to Texas 4 years ago (already?!) and are loving life out here. Will recently finished his graduate program and Slayden continues to teach.
