Wedding Party

Meet the two special people who will be standing with us on our wedding day.

Fiona Liu

Maid of Honor

Sissi met Fiona in Shanghai through mutual friends nearly ten years ago, and they have been inseparable ever since. From life in Shanghai to living on different sides of the world today, Fiona in Tokyo and Sissi in Amsterdam, their friendship has remained just as strong. Fiona has been a constant source of laughter, support, and adventure, and Sissi couldn’t imagine anyone better to stand by her side on this special day.

Danusch Mundinger

Best Man

Since their early days working together in Amsterdam, Danusch is someone Jonny has always depended on for solid advice and a laugh. Whether in the office, navigating Shanghai, or catching up between Frankfurt and Amsterdam, Danusch keeps the energy alive no matter the situation, and Jonny couldn't be happier to have him as his Best Man

FAQs

Question

Will there be other events, in addition to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be hosting a few additional gatherings for friends and family. Details and timing will be shared on the Schedule page.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP through our wedding website. We kindly ask that you respond by April 30th.

Question

Is there a wedding registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. If you’d like to celebrate with a gift, or a contribution toward our honeymoon would mean so much to us.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

September in Shanghai is usually warm and pleasant, with temperatures around 22–28°C (72–82°F). Light, breathable clothing is recommended.

Question

Do I need a visa to travel to China?

Answer

Many visitors can now enter China visa-free for up to 30 days. Entry policies vary by nationality, so please check the requirements for your passport before traveling.

Question

What is the best airport to fly into?

Answer

The main international airport is Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG). From there, taxis and ride-hailing apps can easily take you to the city.

Question

How do I get around Shanghai?

Answer

Getting around Shanghai is easy. DiDi (similar to Uber) is commonly used to book taxis and rides and is usually very affordable. The Metro is also fast and convenient for traveling across the city. For shorter trips, shared bikes are available throughout Shanghai and can be unlocked by scanning a QR code using WeChat or Alipay.

Question

How do payments work in China?

Answer

Mobile payments such as WeChat Pay and Alipay are widely used in China. Credit cards are accepted at most hotels and larger restaurants, but it may be helpful to set up one of these apps for convenience. You can link an international credit or debit card on Alipay or WeChat Pay and pay by scanning QR codes. Payments above 200 CNY (about €25 / $28) made through WeChat Pay or Alipay with an international card may include a 2% fee.
