We Decided on Forever...

We met for the very first time at a Potbelly. We were out celebrating the completion of Law School and that's when we were introduced. After grabbing a quick snack, we migrated over to Mad River to continue with the post Law School celebrations. At the end of the night, Joe so graciously took me home after finding out my classmate awkwardly abandoned me. A few months later, at the end of July, we saw each other again at a post Bar Exam party. We randomly exchanged numbers that night and we've talked every day since...

When we first started dating, one of our favorite dates was going out for dinner and later to chill by the lake. That's where we had the must fun conversing and spending quality time getting to know each other. We also loved the beautiful Chicago Skyline at night. Well on November 30th 2018, it was a Friday date night with a twist. Joe suggested we go out for dinner and drinks and then to the Lake to take pictures for our holiday card. Little did I know taking holiday pictures was a charade. Soon after dinner, we arrived at our favorite spot at the lake and began taking our pictures. Typically when we went to the lake we would plan out our future together as well as reminisce about some of the highlights of our day. While in the midst of talking, I remember turning around to admire the greatest skyline in the world for a split second. When I turned back, Joe had in his hand the exact ring that I had shown him months prior, and it was in the most amazing box that had a light that reflected perfectly off of the diamond. It was at the at moment that he asked me to marry him. And of course I said YES!
