We first met through a music jam group, where our shared love of creativity and playfulness made us fast friends. A mutual friend—who clearly saw something in us before we did—encouraged us to spend more time together, knowing there had always been a spark of admiration on both sides. When we finally went out to dinner, that spark turned into something undeniable. The connection felt natural and effortless, filled with thoughtfulness, laughter, and an immediate sense of comfort. It was one of those rare moments where you look at someone and think, Oh. This could be something real. Not long after, when we planned to attend a friend’s wedding together, Joshua made a suggestion that would become one of the defining parts of our relationship: “Let’s take ballroom dancing lessons.” What began as preparation for a single event turned into a shared passion. Dancing became our favorite “couple-building exercise,” teaching us how to move together—literally and figuratively. We learned how the other communicates, how we navigate challenges, and how we show care, patience, and joy. From music to dance to disc golf, our relationship has grown through the things we love doing side by side. Every step of the way, we’ve discovered more about who we are as individuals and who we want to be as a team. And now, we’re ready to carry that rhythm with us into the rest of our lives.

The world’s largest military aviation museum and completely free to visit. Guests can walk through historic aircraft, including presidential planes. They also throw a yearly swing dance every February! It's one of our favorite events of the year. They have in their archives a wedding dress made of parachute material.
An open‑air museum showcasing Dayton’s history, including the original 1905 Wright Flyer III. Great indoor and outdoor mix for February. If you love trains, this is a great place to explore.
The Wright Cycle Company is the only surviving original bicycle shop used by Wilbur and Orville Wright, where they worked from 1895 to 1897 and gained the mechanical skills that helped launch their aviation experiments. It sits within the Wright–Dunbar Historic District, alongside the Wright–Dunbar Interpretive Center in the restored Hoover Block, where the brothers ran their printing business from 1890 to 1895. The district also highlights the legacy of poet Paul Laurence Dunbar, who lived and worked nearby.
A must‑see for car lovers. This museum sits inside a restored Packard dealership and showcases beautifully preserved vintage automobiles. We love this place. We chose to do our engagement pictures here because it is an underrated treasure of Dayton.
Hard at work on these... Talk soon.
