We like to joke that we met in a sitcom mockumentary - we were working at Life Time Fitness, me as a front desk lady, Simon as the resident "fix-it" guy. We had gotten hired within a few days of each other and got to know one another through the summer. Simon liked to find excuses to stop by the desk, and I liked to encourage him. He asked me out on a Tuesday at the end of my shift, and as they say, the rest is history. We decided that we wanted to marry each other one night at Chili's. Who knew Chili's on a Saturday night was the place to be? Over chips and salsa, I asked my million "where is this going" and "how is this working" questions. Typical Belle. Simon listened to me and smiled. Typical Simon. "Well," he said, "do you want to get married before summer, or after?" We decided to be engaged by February and married by April. I never understood the old adage "when you know, you know" until meeting Simon Bergman. We are each other's favorite person. Which is why, on February 8, 2025, when he got down on one knee, my answer was simple and effortless. We are so thrilled for a life together, and cannot wait to celebrate this marker with you all!
