I always giggle when we start to tell the story of how we met. Well, I (Chandra) had been chatting with another man for about two months and I just wasn’t feeling how I thought I would feel when I met “the one”. So I started praying, hard. I asked “God, if this guy is not the guy You are going to have to make it super obvious because when it comes to dating, I am not very smart.” When I say the very next day, I am not joking. The guy I had been talking to for two months every day, didn’t message me. I didn’t think too much of it at first. Then came the second day. Then the third. I started thinking, okay this is weird. A week went by and after reaching out twice, he never wrote back. So I said okay God. That is my answer. I am gonna listen. That was a Monday when I said that. By Wednesday, I just had a gut feeling telling me to put myself back out there. So I did. That Wednesday evening, Trevor messaged me. We talked all evening. About, coffee, horses, and God. Well, Thursday I told him a friend and I were gonna go dancing at the Hard Rock for New Year’s Eve on Saturday. He said he loved to dance so without hesitation, I asked him if he wanted to meet us there. He, being the gentleman he is, told me he would come pick me up and we could go on a date to the Hard Rock for New Year’s Eve. I was soooo nervous when he pulled up to the house. (I had changed outfits about three times). We talked the whole way to the Hard Rock. We danced as soon as we got in to the dance hall and I’m convinced it was love at first dance. For both of us. We danced all night long. It was the best night. We have talked to one another every single day since. After two weeks I knew with 100% certainty that I had a prayer answered from God because I knew this was my person. Trevor felt it too because it only took two weeks for him to tell me he was falling in love with me and I told him I felt that way too. Turns out we had both been praying for a long time for one another. It’s so amazing to me how instant our connection was and how strong our connection is. What Trevor and I both know, is that the love he and I share is 1000% given from God. Only God can create a love this strong and we thank Him daily for trusting and loving us enough to give Trevor and I the opportunity to love one another and serve Him together.
