Fun fact, our story started way back in 2006 when Sammy started working at the firm and almost all the ladies crushed on him…except one. 😊 But luckily, a friendship was formed & we stayed in touch with random check-ins, even after I left the firm. Then I moved to Houston in 2013 & would share some of my adventures with him. January 2022, Sheryl visited me to celebrate our birthday together for the first time in forever. So, we’re sitting in Del Frisco’s & our waiter comes over & he looks like Sammy & we’re both like “OMG” & start laughing. Then Sheryl texts Sammy something like “we just found your long-lost son,” which made him text me happy birthday & I’m pretty sure we started texting each other every day after that. The transition from friends to partners happened so seamlessly that we had to sit on the phone one night going back through our text messages to see if we could figure out when things shifted. But shift it did, and so…here we are, each in love with our best friend (one slightly cooler than the other) that we get to spend the rest of our lives with 🥰
