..has been the ongoing question throughout Chad and Michelle's relationship. It all started in 2008 when Michelle's older sister, Cheiryl, moved to California and met Chad. Later that school year, Chad and a few friends decided to take a spontaneous trip to visit Cheiryl's home island, O'ahu, and met her whole family including Michelle. No sparks here just yet, though! Fast forward to 2011, Michelle decided to join her sister in California and Chad became a housemate to the Pactanacs. However, throughout all this time, they never really socialized with one another and Chad eventually moved to Chicago. It wasn't until 2016 when Chad decided to move back home to California came an unexpected turn of events. As Chad tried reconnecting with old friends, often times through food, Michelle would eventually tag along and their friendship grew until they both started to see the other in a different light.
