Alhamdulillah. What began with sincere intentions and the remembrance of Allah has brought us to this blessed chapter of our lives. We believe our meeting was not by chance but by the will and decree of Allah ﷻ. Every moment, whether ease, challenge, or lesson, has been part of a journey written for us long before we even knew it. Our story has been one of reflection, du’a, growth, and striving to remain upon what is pleasing to Allah. We have navigated conversations with purpose, sought guidance along the way, and kept the goal of a halal, faith-centred union in clear sight. It has not always been easy. But it has been filled with barakah and served as a constant reminder that when you place your trust in Allah, He guides you in ways greater than you could ever imagine. We are grateful to our Rabb for bringing us together in a way that honours Him. We pray that this union is a means of drawing closer to Him each day. May He place barakah, mercy, and sakinah in our marriage and make it one that is pleasing to Him. Ameen.

Our Nikkah and wedding celebration will take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025 in Sydney, Australia. The Nikkah will be held in the morning, and the wedding reception will follow in the evening.
The Wedding Reception will take place in the Sydney CBD near Jones Bay Wharf. The exact venue location and arrival instructions will be shared closer to the date, Inshaa’Allah. The Nikkah location is to be announced.
Yes, there are several paid parking options around the Jones Bay Wharf area in the Sydney CBD. One commonly used facility is Wilson Parking – Jones Bay Wharf (26–32 Pirrama Road, Pyrmont). However, due to weekend traffic and limited availability, we kindly recommend using Uber, rideshare, or public transport to make your journey more seamless, Insha’Allah.
Nikkah Ceremony (Morning): We kindly request guests to wear traditional cultural attire. This is a sacred and spiritual moment, so modest dress is appreciated. Wedding Reception (Evening): Traditional attire is preferred, though formal suits and gowns are also welcome.
If your children are included in the invitation, they’re more than welcome. Please RSVP for each child and include any allergy notes. We kindly ask for your help in ensuring the space remains calm during the Nikkah ceremony.
Alhamdulillah, the timing of our wedding may align well for many families: For our Queensland guests, the wedding falls right at the beginning of the school holidays, which start on Saturday, June 28, 2025, and continue until Sunday, July 13, 2025. For our New South Wales guests, the school holidays begin a little later, from Monday, July 7, 2025, to Friday, July 18, 2025.
We will be serving Indian and Pakistani traditional cuisine, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Please let us know about any allergies or dietary needs as soon as possible so we can accommodate you.
Yes, absolutely. Please RSVP by April 2nd, 2025 using the RSVP link provided. Let us know how many are attending, and include any dietary needs. We’re counting heads, so your response is essential 💛
Yes, we will have a designated prayer space available during the event. Prayer mats will be provided, so there’s no need to bring your own. If you need assistance locating the space on the day, feel free to speak to a family member or member of the hospitality team.
Yes, it’s winter in Sydney, and since the reception is by the harbour, the evening may get quite chilly. We recommend bringing a warm jacket, shawl, or jumper, especially if you’re planning to be outdoors for photos or mingling. Stay cozy, stay classy!
Yes, seating is allocated, and we kindly ask that all guests sit at their assigned tables to help the evening flow smoothly. If you’re unsure where to go or need help finding your seat, our event staff and family members will be nearby and happy to assist you.
Yes, the Nikkah is open to all guests. It is a sacred moment we’d love to share with you. However, we understand that not everyone can attend both parts of the day, especially those travelling from interstate. There is no obligation to attend the morning Nikkah if it is not feasible for you. Your presence at any part of the celebration means the world to us.
We recommend finding accommodation in or around Darling Harbour or the Sydney CBD for convenience, as both the Nikkah and wedding reception will be held nearby. If you're looking for more cost-effective options, areas like Pyrmont, Ultimo, Glebe, or Haymarket are also close and may offer better rates. Feel free to reach out to us directly, we’d love to help you find a place that suits your needs, Inshaa’Allah.
If you’re flying in from Queensland and attending the Nikkah, we recommend arriving in Sydney the day before to ensure you're well-rested and arrive on time, Inshaa’Allah. If you're only attending the wedding reception, you may fly in on Sunday morning, but please allow extra time for airport transfers, traffic, and getting ready. We want you to arrive comfortably and enjoy the evening with ease.
The closest airport is Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD). It’s about 25–30 minutes by car to Darling Harbour. We recommend booking flights that arrive well ahead of the wedding day if you’re attending the Nikkah.
Families are welcome to return to their hotel to rest, get ready, or explore nearby cafes or landmarks. There’s a break from around 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM, so use this time to relax and prepare for the evening celebration.
If you’re driving from within Sydney, plan for weekend traffic, road closures near Darling Harbour, and limited parking options. There are paid parking stations in the area, but they can fill up quickly. Using Uber, taxis, or public transport is highly recommended. If you’re driving from Brisbane, keep in mind it’s a long journey of about 9 to 10 hours by road. If you choose to drive, we strongly recommend arriving the day before, resting properly, and planning your route ahead of time. Hotel parking may be separate from public parking, so check with your accommodation in advance.
Yes, most hotels in Sydney will gladly hold your luggage for you, even if your room isn’t ready yet. You can drop your bags at reception, head to the Nikkah ceremony comfortably, and return to check in later in the day.
Sydney traffic can be heavy, especially in the city and near Darling Harbour. Plan extra time for travel. Most public transport in Sydney uses Opal cards, but you can also tap on and off using your debit or credit card. Sydney weather in late June is cool, especially by the water. Bring a jumper or shawl for the evening. Hotels and cafes near Darling Harbour get busy during holidays and weekends. Book early where you can. If you need help with anything, from accommodation to travel, please feel free to reach out. We are here to help.
Your presence is the greatest gift. If you wish to honour us with a gift, we kindly request no boxed gifts.
