When Shaina first moved to Long Beach, she immediately got hired at Beachwood BBQ and Brewing (RIP) in Downtown Long Beach. She often attributes this job for so many major life events and possibly the biggest one was meeting J! J and his former girlfriend came in for the great beer often-- he would pray that the hot, funny waitress wouldn't be their server. Little did he know, that they would meet years later on a little dating app called Tinder. When Shaina saw his profile, she immediately recognized him, and he of course recognized that hot, funny girl from Beachwood. She was drawn to his funny and sweet profile, but angered because she was CERTAIN he was married. Her opening line in fact, was "Aren't you married already"?! (She had done her fair share of frustrating online dating.) He was in fact fully single, and incredibly sweet. They got along well via text which led to a time limited first date, "you get two hours, and then I've got plans". They were both nervous and excited, but spent the full two hours giddy, giggling and getting along. The first half date went so well, that they immediately agreed to a full on date, and with about 5 years of other stuff in between, the rest is history!
