What Drew us Together

Faith

Our love story started in May of 2022. One of the first conversations we had was about our faith. Seth talked so passionately about his faith and it drew me in. He brought me closer and closer to forming my own passions which lead to me getting baptized in April of 2023. The greatest gift I could ask for. The man I didn't know I needed took my hand and lead me to God. Now, we get to hold hands together, for as long as we live, until heaven takes us home.

FAQs

Common questions that may be answered below!
Question

Can I bring children?

Answer

We love all of our family and friends children! However, due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 16 at our reception, with the exception of children in the wedding party. All children are more than welcome to come to the ceremony! We encourage you to use this evening to have a fun date night!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the limited capacity of our venue, we are unable to accommodate plus ones unless specifically indicated on your envelope. For example, if you have a plus one, your address will be listed as "Name and Guest." If you are confused, when you RSVP and type your name, you will see if you have a plus one! We want everyone to share in celebration and this will ensure that we are surrounded by our close friends and family. We hope you understand!

Question

Can I take pictures throughout the ceremony / reception?

Answer

In order to ensure we are all fully present in this sacrament of marriage, we will be having an "unplugged" ceremony. We request that you turn off or silence your phones during the ceremony. During the reception, feel free to take as many photos or videos as you would like!

Question

Where do I park when I get to the reception?

Answer

You will enter the Sandy Pines RV resort and campground through the "main gate entrance" on 28th street. At the gate, please mention you are there for the "Alfaro wedding" and your last name. They will let you in the gate. You will then take a left and follow the road until you reach the parking lot on the right side. This will be the "North Shore Center" where the wedding reception will be. Please enter through the upper level.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! Our dress code is cocktail attire. No jeans, please! All wedding events will be indoors with plenty of air conditioning.

Question

What will the ceremony be like?

Answer

Seth and I are celebrating the sacrament of marriage with a traditional Catholic ceremony. All are welcomed and invited into the church with open arms. The sacrament involves a full mass with communion. We ask that if you are not baptized or not catholic that you cross your arms and get a blessing from the priest rather than receiving. We ask that you participate in the mass as much as you'd like! This means opening and using the hymn book in your pew and singing along! Father Jim, our priest, will also be as educational as possible during the mass to make all feel welcome. Lastly, enjoy! The sacrament of marriage is beautiful and draws us together as one in God's love which flows to our community and family!
