Early on in 2020, before Jessup sent their students home due to some respiratory virus, Nick had gotten a hair cut. A nice one. Nice enough for it to make Sera pretty happy that he decided to follow her on Instagram. Now, if you remember, there were lots of things going on at this time. Schools were shutting down, people were being sent home to work remote, parks and baseball fields were closed off with caution tape, toilet paper vanished from shelves. But, Nick and Sera strove to make the best of their time at home while they wrapped up their sophomore year of college, single as could be. They did this by making Instagram stories for all their fans. They were both intrigued by each other's content and reassured themselves that this was a good follow. You know how it goes; they started replying to each others' posts, DMing about Venus (Nick was in an astronomy class and very proud of all that he learned), French toast, face masks made out of bacon, and apologizing for how lengthy their messages were to each other. They talked about anything and everything...except the worries and woes that seemed to be overtaking every other part of their lives. They noticed how their conversations were untouched by the chaos around them. A very important part of this story involves Sera painting Nick's old, white, high-top vans. She painted them blue and pink with flowers. He went to her house to pick them up on May 1, 2020. It was strictly business, of course. After talking with Sera in her kitchen for almost an hour, with her mom working remotely in the other room pretending not to eavesdrop, it was time for Nick to leave. A solemn look came across his face (no mustache at the time) and he said, "Well, I guess I'll see you in the fall..." He turned around, got in his car, and drove back to Arlington Circle. Sera still doesn't know why he said this. And she surely didn't understand at the time. She texted him before he got home and told him "We don't have to wait until school starts to see each other again!" She wasn't ready for these pleasant conversations to stop. They continued to lighten one another's load as they went on their first date at the Davis Arboretum and ate burritos. The Davis Arburrito, if you will. Sera smiled all the way home and Nick was probably singing along to some punk rock band. They continue to lighten one another's load today and are excited to serve one another, love one another, and laugh with one another for life. A happy ending to a Quarantine Crush.

Matron of Honor
Grace and I have been close friends since high school. She is an incredible friend that prioritizes the people she loves and is always after reflecting Jesus' heart for others. I think of her as a companion in seeking truth, peace, and joy in this world.
Maid of Honor
Lacy is another friend from high school days. You'd feel special to be able to call her a friend and I feel blessed that she's stuck by me for so long. We've each leaned on each other many times throughout our friendship and I'm thankful she's been willing to carry me along when I've needed it. Her dedication to her friends and family does not go unnoticed by me.
Bridesmaid
Megan is a special person, which is noticable as soon as she walks in the room. She shines with grace, wisdom, and love. She's a friend of mine, prescribed by God, who knew my heart desired friendship and laughter with a soul a sweet as Megan's.
Bridesmaid
Bella is my cousin. The closest thing I have to a sister. Growing up, there were probably times she looked up to me. But as we get older, I find myself looking up to her in lots of ways as I admire her generosity, playfulness, and free-spirit. A truly awesome person to stand by me.
Bridesmaid
Hannah and my relationship is very special! We were buddies back in the day, and reconnected as adults and became closer than ever. Hannah's pure and sincere heart shines through her everywhere she goes and lightens the load of everyone around her. She is dedicated to authenticity, joy, and having a servant's heart.
Bridesmaid
Don't let the stoic picture fool you, Brice is a happy, bubbly gal with many amazing qualities! She has come to mean a lot to me since we became friends a few years ago. I admire her willingness to believe in good things, seek God's will, and bring people together in friendship and community.
Best Man
Brandon--my eldest AND first born brother. Brandon has been there for me since day one. One of the qualities I admire most about him is his faithfulness. Through thick and thin, Brandon will consistently be there for the ones he loves. I am honored to have him as my best man.
Groomsman
Curtis is my strongest groomsman. He can bench press 475 lbs and squat 700+. He has been my mentor since I was in middle school and I have spent many nights at his house laughing, playing video games, and drinking monsters. He is also a state champion football coach. Need I say more?
Groomsman
Seth is my second eldest AND second born brother. We shared a room growing up and I always wanted to be like him. My love for metal is undoubtedly inspired by him. We share common interests in weapons and chocolate milk. I love him and am glad he is one of my groomsmen.
Groomsman
Ethyn is one of my oldest college friends. I have spent many days and nights with him rocking out, playing Smash Bros, and talking about future plans. Not only are we in each other’s weddings, but our fiancees are as well (Hannah). I look forward to a lifetime of Tahoe trips, Bridgeport/Collins Lake days, and jam sessions with Ethyn.
Groomsman
Grant is the SILLIEST little gosling in this gaggle. Grant was the RA of the wing Ethyn and I were put in freshman year. I helped Ethyn prank the daylights out of Grant and he hated us. But, by the end of the year, the three of us were all very close. Grant can always make me laugh. He is one of the most loving dudes I know. I’m stoked that he’s a groomsman.
Groomsman
Evan and I were also in the same wing our freshman year and we soon bonded over a love of fitness. That same year, I got to meet his family at their gorgeous property in sunny Ione. What a lovely bunch! We became roommates for the rest of college and consistently bond over hikes, fitness, weapons, and memes. I am thankful to have Evan as a groomsman.
Groomsman
Christion is one of the most selfless, sacrificial guys I know. Yet another wing-mate from my freshman year, Christion has always had my back. He works his tail off, putting in 16 hour days at times, and still finds ways to hang with his friends. When I grow up, I want to be able to work half as hard as Christion Seymour. It is a privilege to have him in my crew.
