Our Story
Amid a global pandemic, when face masks were the new must-have accessory and "Zoom dates" became a thing, fate decided to play matchmaker for us. It was the year 2020, and like many others, we found ourselves diving into the world of online dating. One day, as fate would have it, our paths converged on a not so popular dating app and shortly thereafter our first date at the St. Pete Pier. Fast forward three years, and here we are, getting ready to say, "I Do." Our journey has been filled with laughter, adventures and countless sweet moments! One of our most memorable experiences was our first international trip to Barcelona. From tapas to Gaudi architecture, we discovered the beauty of a new city and the fun of experiencing it together. Our favorite adventure that has brought us the most joy was adopting two rescue cats- truffle and cannoli. Our adorable fur babies have added an extra layer of love to our story! Our most unforgettable moment was on the morning of May 28th, 2023. As the sun began to rise over the iconic Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., Sebastian got down on one knee and asked the question that would change everything and of course, I said yes! As we get ready for our big day in Costa Rica, we are so excited to share this moment with all our loved ones. Here’s to a whole lot of love, laughter and priceless memories in the making!

Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport
Daniel Oduber is located in Libera, Guanacaste and serves the northwestern region of Costa Rica. This airport is located only 25-30 minutes from the resort/wedding venue. Most of our guests should be able to find a flight to Liberia airport with one stop over in Miami or another domestic airport.
Travel Note
Resort Day Pass
If possible we'd love to have all our guests stay at Secrets Papagayo resort as all wedding events and activities will take place there. It would be wonderful to share this whole experience with each of you. We understand if you choose to stay at another hotel. However, you should keep in mind that if staying outside the resort you must purchase a day pass to Papagayo in order to attend the rehearsal dinner and wedding. The guest pass is $166 per person per day. This will give access to the resort one hour before and up to one hour after an event ends.
Things To Do
Rio Celeste
Rio Celeste offers vibrant turquoise waters, hiking, waterfalls and wildlife sanctuaries to explore. This makes for a delightful day trip as its only about an 1.5 hour drive from the resort. Several companies offer guided tours to the area.
Hacienda Guachipelin
Located in the heart of the Rincón de la Vieja National Park, Guachipelin is one of the top destinations for adventure activities in Costa Rica’s Guanacaste Province. Horseback riding a zipline canopy tour, scenic horseback ride, river tubing excursion, and volcanic mud bath.
Rincon De la Vieja National Park
Located about two hours from the Gulf of Papagayo this national park is home to beautiful waterfalls, hiking trails, natural hot springs and wildlife. Day tours can be booked to the area which include visiting a variety of sites in the park such as Le Leona Waterfall.

Do I need a Visa?
Answer
For US Citizens: A tourist visa is not required, but proof of a return ticket is required upon entry to Costa Rica. For Colombian Citizens: You must obtain a visa before entry into Costa Rica. Contact the Costa Rica embassy or consulate for the instructions how to apply the visa.

What Airport Should I Fly into?
Answer
Daniel Oduber Quiros Airport. There is another international airport in San Jose (Juan Santamaria). It is possible to fly domestically from Juan Santamaria to Liberia but we don't recommend it as it will lengthen you travel time in most cases. But this could be a good option for some travelers depending on your point of origin.

How Do I Get From The Airport to the Hotel?
