NEW DETAILS ADDED!
4:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Formal to Semi-Formal Attire. We will be outside part of the time, so please bring something warm to wear too.
We will have a cocktail hour after the ceremony, including an open bar and appetizers. After that we will have a full dinner.
Hotel
This hotel is on the Southeasternmost end of Denver, making it more accessible to our wedding venue in Larkspur. We have a block of rooms reserved here, and if it fills up we can add more. It is located in the Denver Tech Center, with easy access to bars, restaurants, shops, and the light rail. Pint Brothers Ale House is located in the hotel, where you can enjoy a local craft beer or a cocktail. There is also a market with snacks and Starbucks coffee.
Hotel
The Best Western and the Holiday Inn are the closest possible hotels to the venue. It is a 25 minute drive to Spruce Mountain and less than 30 minutes to Denver. We have 10 rooms blocked off at each of these hotels from Friday to Sunday (April 25-27th), and 5 rooms for Thursday (April 24th). The link above will bring you to our reservation link. If you want to call to book your rooms, you can use the code Jones-Mackin Wedding.

Flight
This is the main airport in the Denver Metro Area and it is located pretty far from everything. While it is possible to take public transit from the airport right to the Marriott, we generally recommend getting a cab/rideshare if you are staying there. Routes can take anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours with at least one transfer. This can be a very economical option if you are fine with that. Coordinating with fellow travelers to carpool is also an option.
Flight
A smaller airport than DIA, the Colorado Springs Airport may also be a good option for your travels. It is about an hour from the suggested hotels. There are also hotels and home rentals in Colorado Springs and the towns to the north that would be convenient for driving to the venue.
Travel Note
We will have a shuttle rented on the day of the wedding to take guests from the hotels to the venue, and back later. If you are staying elsewhere, you can meet at one of these locations to take the shuttle. If you plan to explore the Denver area while you are here, you may want to rent a car, since Denver is a very car-centric city. If you want to check out the light rail, it can take you from the Marriott to Union Station downtown in under an hour.
If you are staying near Castle Rock and want to see some of the beauty of Colorado, this is a perfect option. This park shows off the unique Black Forest region of Colorado, with trails ranging from .5 to 4 miles. Cherry Creek flows down the bottom of the canyon, leading to the ruins of Castlewood Dam (circa 1890).
A popular gathering place year-round. Walking and bike lanes circle the entire park. It is just a short walk to the Gaylord Street shops where you can find great food and boutique stores. From experience, Sarah can also tell you it's about a six mile walk from their apartment in Englewood!
This is a beautiful, wide-open state park near The Marriott and our home. It's a great place to take a walk to admire the cottonwood trees lining the creek, rolling hills of the high plains, and panoramic vistas of the Front Range mountains.
For those of you in town for more than a few days, we recommend checking out the nearby (stunningly beautiful) city of Boulder, CO! Pearl Street Mall is the main shopping and dining area in town and the main street is pedestrian only which makes for great window shopping.
We are having our ceremony and reception at Spruce Mountain Ranch. It is about halfway between Denver and Colorado Springs (approximately a 40 minute drive from Denver). We will be at the Lower Ranch area of the property in Albert's Lodge. It is a beautiful spot and we're thrilled for everyone to see it!
In the Travel section of this website, we have included information on three local hotels in the area. Since our wedding is between Denver and Colorado Springs, we recognize that guests may have different preferences about where exactly they stay. We anticipate that most guests will either stay in Denver or Castle Rock.
Yes, there is a large parking lot on the property that guests will have full access to.
We ask that guests wear cocktail attire to this event but we encourage everyone to dress in whatever you feel your best in! Please note that our wedding will be in April and the weather can sometimes be unpredictable. We recommend keeping an eye on the forecast as we get closer to the wedding and we encourage all guests to consider layers to ensure that they stay warm. The wedding and reception will be in a mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces but there is a cozy fireplace inside our primary reception room and the cocktail room.
Of course! We're not monsters!
Absolutely! We will not have a traditional dinner menu but, instead, Mountain Crust Pizza will be catering with fresh, customizable wood-fired pizzas and they can accommodate just about any dietary need. If you have a severe allergy or are otherwise worried about our food offerings, please reach out to the couple in advance.
We have information about our Honeyfund located in the registry section of this website. Our Honeyfund will allow guests to contribute directly to our honeymoon and help send the couple on a dream vacation to the Greek Isles!
