Travel

The Wedding Website of Sean Hutchinson and Noah Briones
For out-of-towners, we recommend staying in either Longmont or Boulder. Both are about 10 miles from Lyons. Longmont is usually much less expensive and still charming. There are a number of good hotels in both communities and numerous AirBnB choices. The best airport is Denver International. It is equidistant to Longmont and Boulder.

Question

Which airport is closest to Lyons?

Answer

Denver International Airport

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

We recommend it. Airport to Boulder or Longmont is about 35-40 miles, one way. Lyons is in a rural area about 45 miles from downtown Denver and roughly 10 miles from both Boulder and Longmont.

Question

Should I stay in Longmont, Boulder, or Lyons?

Answer

All three are good choices. Longmont is less expensive than Boulder. Boulder is more of a "scene" with better restaurants and completely walkable depending on where you stay. Lyons has a couple of BnB's and a tiny house campground. AirBnB choices are plentiful. You can also stay near Castle Rock, where we live (please see below).

Question

Is it better to stay near where you live?

Answer

We live in Castle Rock, which is about 75 miles south of Lyons and 25 miles south of Denver. If you would prefer to stay nearby, there are several hotels and numerous AirBnB options.

Question

Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

Depending on where people are staying, we are considering running a shuttle to Longmont and Boulder the day of the celebration. Please let us know your plans and we will let you know.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, craft beer and wine. It's okay to bring your own if you prefer something different - but the bartender has to pour.

Question

Should I be prepared to dance?

Answer

Yes? No? Maybe? No one will insist and no one will stop you. You be you!

Question

Are there changing rooms at The Farmette?

Answer

Yes. If you want to change into more comfortable clothes after the ceremony, feel free. The weather should be temperate during the day but may cool off in the evening.

Question

What is the typical weather in Lyons for early June?

Answer

The highs are typically between 75-80F, and it cools to mid-50s overnight. Colorado is usually very sunny so it can feel much warmer, especially at higher altitudes.

Question

Will altitude be a factor?

Answer

Lyons is 5,340 ft above sea level. If you aren't used to that altitude, it takes your body at least 3-5 days to adjust. Altitude sickness is a real thing. Everyone reacts differently. Take it easy, drink A LOT of water, avoid dehydrating liquids like coffee and alcohol, and if you start feeling woozy, short of breath, or nauseous, immediately let us know. We will have portable oxygen canisters at the event just in case. If you plan to go hiking at higher altitudes or take a strenuous walk, please carry as much water as you can and take an oxygen canister with you.

Question

Should I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes, yes, yes!

Question

Can I take a photo in the flower farm?

Answer

Yes, the celebration photographer will be available for personal and family photos. A high quality digital photo will be provided after the event. It's our gift to you.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

No. Your presence is our gift.

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Please don't. We have everything we need. But thank you.

Question

Can I make a donation in lieu of a gift?

Answer

It's totally up to you. If you would like, consider making a small gift to The Trevor Project or Muttville. We would be honored.

Question

Will Vegan dinner options be available?

Answer

Yes.

Question

Is The Farmette wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes.

Question

Can I pet the Llama?

Answer

They tend to be shy but you can have a chat through the fence.

Question

Is there parking at The Farmette?

Answer

Yes. There will be free valet parking.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

The Farmette has a great barn with all the amenities we need. No need to worry.

Question

Will there be a magic show?

Answer

Our amazing magician Gerald will be wandering and doing "close up" magic (cards, etc.)

Question

Can I request a song?

Answer

Yes. Please let us know if you would like the DJ to play something special.

Question

Can I bring a pet?

Answer

Unfortunately, no.

Question

Will there be karaoke?

Answer
