What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

We understand that with a destination wedding you might need time to put some thought into the practicality of being able to attend. There is absolutely no pressure from us, we totally understand if it won't work for your family, just let us know! We hope to have a final count by the end of October 2024 so that we are able to plan for food and drinks.

I can't attend the wedding, will you have a celebration at home (in Michigan)?

Answer

We do plan to have some kind of celebration at home during the summer of 2026, following our actual wedding. We understand that not everyone will be able to attend our Vegas celebration, so we are excited to have a party closer to home to celebrate with ALL of our family and friends. We will keep you posted on this!

Do you have any recommendations regarding travel?

Answer

Please feel free to book whatever works best for you! Allegiant is an affordable airline with direct flights between Grand Rapids and Las Vegas. As of now they have options to fly directly between GR and Vegas on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We would recommend getting to Vegas on Thursday if you are able, our wedding is Friday at 4, so you may also be able to catch a Friday morning flight if you are brave! This is just a recommendation, feel free to book whatever airline you prefer! Your best option would be to fly into Harry Reid International Airport (LAS)!

What days should I arrive and/or leave Vegas?

Answer

Completely up to you! Our wedding is Friday at 4pm, so we would recommend flying in on Thursday to ensure you arrive on time, but whatever works best for you is fine with us! If you plan to party on our wedding night (we sure do), I'd avoid a super early Saturday flight home (unless you love flying hungover). We personally will be staying in Vegas until Sunday so that we are able to see and enjoy as much of Vegas as possible!

Should I rent a car?

Answer

We chose to stay and host our wedding and reception all at one venue so that it's easy for our guests to attend our events without the extra travel. The Flamingo is also centrally located on the Vegas strip so that you are able to explore without the absolute need for a car. If you were to Uber or Lyft from the airport to the hotel, you should be able to get away without renting a car, but please do what works best for you!

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at the hotel?

Answer

We did not reserve a block. We are staying at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino, and the wedding ceremony and reception will also take place at the Flamingo. Feel free to book whatever room works best for you at the Flamingo, or any surrounding hotel you choose. When we get closer to the wedding date, we will work with Flamingo to get everyone's rooms as close together as possible.

Are plus-ones and children allowed?

Answer

Feel free to bring a plus-one, we understand not wanting to travel alone. For any couples invited, if your partner is unable to attend and you want to bring another plus-one to travel with you, just let us know! We personally are not bringing our children, as much as we love them and want them there, Vegas is best enjoyed 21+! We also understand not everyone has the ability to leave their children so please let us know if this is an issue for your family.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Our ceremony will be outdoors, so please plan and dress accordingly. Our reception will be indoor!

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Come as you are, no pressure to adhere to any specific dress code. You will be at a wedding in Vegas though, so don't be afraid to have some fun with it!

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding, and can I post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

We ask that you pretty please be aware of our photographer, especially during the ceremony, as we would prefer not to have cell phones interfering with our photographer capturing the big wedding moments. Aside from that, please feel free to take all of the photos you want, and you are more than welcome to post them.

Are there other wedding events I can attend?

Answer

Following our ceremony and reception we will likely continue the party, we are in Vegas after all! We will keep you all posted on any plans we may have, and anyone is welcome to join us for any other events we may do outside of the ceremony and reception.

We did not do a wedding registry, if you are able to make the trip to attend our celebration in Vegas that is more than we could ever ask for!
