At Japanese weddings, it is typical to give the couple money in a special envelope called a "Shugibukuro". The amount given in these envelopes is 30,000 yen (around $300 Canadian). Local guests will be giving these envelopes to the staff at the beginning of the reception. International guests are not expected to give a wedding gift as you are already spending a considerable amount of time and resources to attend the wedding. Your presence is more than enough!
The nearest stations are "Akasaka Station" and "Tameike-sanno Station." They are in the center of Tokyo and are easily accessible no matter where in the city you are staying.
Despite being late in the Fall season, Tokyo remains fairly comfortable. Temperatures average around 15°C. However, it can go as high as 20°C, and as low as 10°C so plan accordingly.
