Born and raised 5,390 miles apart on different continents, fate had a funny way of weaving our paths together. We attended high schools just 25 miles apart in the Midwest, and later lived only 0.6 miles from one another in Florida, yet our paths never crossed. That is, until January 2020, when 1,950 miles from home, we met on a snowboard trip in Colorado. We began dating October 2021 and three years later, we were on our first international trip together. On one of our final days in Australia, I picked "Diamond Bay Cliffwalk" to watch a sunset. There, with the sounds of waves crashing below us, he knelt down and asked me in marriage with a diamond of his own. I said Yes!
