Is there a dress code?

Answer

We request guests wear cocktail/semi-formal attire (for women this means a midi or floor-length dress, dressy jumpsuit, or elegant separates, and for men this means a suit or tailored blazer with dress pants). The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, in our backyard! As such, please be mindful of this when selecting footwear and layers.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love the children in our family, we politely request they stay at home so that you are able to fully enjoy the evening!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be at our house, and there will be limited on-site parking. Please do not drive down our gravel driveway - all parking should be off of our shared driveway or off of King Philip Road. If at all possible, please consider car-pooling with others, or taking an uber/lyft. Out of respect for our neighbors, when parking onsite, please only park in designated "Parking" areas.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

No, we will not be providing transportation.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We recommend either The Simsbury Inn (7 minutes) in Simsbury or the Residence Inn Hartford-Avon in Avon (8 minutes).

Please do not bring any guest unless they were named on the invitation.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be starting at 4:30. Please plan to arrive at our home by 4:15PM. If applicable, please take into consideration the time it will take to park your vehicle and walk to our home. We recommend everyone is seated by 4:25, as to avoid any disruptions of the ceremony.
