Rental Car
We highly recommend securing a rental car for our out-of-town travelers as rideshare is often expensive and less reliable out here. Take this as an opportunity to see some of the beautiful sites in our state!

Hotel
Located 15 minutes away from the venue, this is one of the more budget friendly stays in the area!
Hotel
This one is further away from the ceremony (30 minutes), as it is located in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie Forest, however this is a stay for folks that are looking for a gorgeous Washington State getaway and for some more adventure!
Our engagement video in front of Mt. Shuksan, September 21st, 2024
This place is an absolute MUST when visiting northwest Washington! Located at the end of Highway 542, Artist point is a great spot for a sunset picnic and world class hiking in North Cascades. Our favorite trails are Table Mountain (where we got engaged!), Ptarmigan Ridge, and Chain Lakes Trail. Some other local favorite trails located off of Mt. Baker Highway are Hannegan Peak, Excelsior, and Heliotrope Ridge. Artist point also has an ADA accessible trail with unparalleled views of Mt. Shuksan and Mt. Baker. If you only have time for one thing during your stay in Washington, this is what we recommend doing!
This gem is nestled within the Cascades at the foot of Mt. Baker, not to far from Bellingham city limits. By far our favorite place for paddleboarding and kayaking, you'd be hard pressed to find a lake with clearer, bright blue/green glacial melt. We will be planning a small backpacking excursion & lake day on August 1st-2nd. If you are interested in joining us, please send a text message to Savannah or Josh.
This is our favorite bar & restaurant in Bellingham! We have spent MANY date nights here and with a local rotating menu there is always something new to try. Our favorite drinks are "the Heartbreaker" and "Black Mirror" and we usually order a bowl of wontons to share!
Pike Place Market is a must see for those traveling to the greater Seattle area for the first time! We have spent many days here with family and friends and with multiple levels of the market terraced into the hillside, there's a something for everyone here! Our highlights are the fish markets, Piroshky Piroshky, and the lower level merchant shops. While at Pike's, don't forget to take a stroll down Post Alley! Market hours: Monday-Sunday 9am-5pm
We have had many dates involving Taylor Shellfish Farms. In the late summer, we take a drive down Chuckanut/Hwy 11, a gorgeous coastal highway through our local mountain pass, and stop at Taylor's to pick up a dozen oysters to enjoy on our balcony. Taylor Shellfish Farms also has a stunning onsite restaurant facing the bay. This stop is a quintessential Bellingham experience.
Whatcom Falls Park is one of Bellingham's many fantastic municipal parks. Located just a mile or so from downtown, this is one of our favorite places to go for an outdoor date or quick trail run. Pair this with Old World Deli or the Co-op and you've got the makings of a lovely picnic!
Downtown Bellingham is the central spot for food, music and new experiences. We have spent many days exploring Downtown Bellingham, whether it be dining at Storia Cucina, going to a Downtown Sounds concert, or perusing through many of the local shops, Downtown Bellingham is a great way to spend the afternoon!
This place is so fun, with lots of different games! An indoor axe and knife throwing venue that charges by the hour. They also offer light refreshments. We went here on our 2nd date and now it's a rainy day staple for us! Located in Downtown Bellingham.
Another one of our rainy day favorites! CreativiTea is a pottery painting shop that offers tea and light bites. We have painted bowls, mugs, plates and we even customized all the light switch plates in our apartment with ones we created from CreativiTea. Definitely worth a visit if you have time!
Beautiful local park located near where many will be staying for the wedding. This park is best experienced at sunset!
The dress code is garden party cocktail. Some examples of summer, daytime cocktail (or semi-formal) dresswear are slacks, button up shirts, dress linens, and summer dresses. For dresses, appropriate lengths would be midi or tea length. Please no white, ivory, cream, or champagne formal wear. Since it's a garden party, we encourage you to have fun with color and patterns! This is your opportunity to wear those fun sunhats and bright colored shoes if you got 'em; don't be shy! Bonus points if you have vintage elements! Please avoid solid black clothing or clothes that are dark enough to appear as solid black. Black laced with bright colors is acceptable. The wedding will be in August in Washington, so we recommend dressing in layers as it will likely be hot in the day and cooler at night. Additionally, the wedding takes place outdoors in a garden nursery, so strappy heels may sink in the grass. We recommend short chunky heels, flats, or boots. No denim or casual wear.
We kindly ask that young children (under the age of 12) do not attend the ceremony. All children are certainly welcome to the reception (5pm-10:30pm). Please be aware that there will be no children's menu or additional food accommodation for children. There will be coloring books and games made available. We recommend taking this opportunity to have a date night on us!
We recommend arriving anytime between 3pm and 3:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided before the ceremony takes place.
There will be a taxi service on hold for guests to use night of the wedding since Uber service is fairly spotty in Skagit county. This service is not free and will cost around 15 to 30 dollars per ride, depending on location. We recommending sharing a taxi if folks are coming from the same hotel! There is parking available at Christianson's should you choose to drive there instead. Please do not drink and drive. We are utilizing taxis instead of a shuttle due to the dynamic nature of this event and many parties will be staying in separate hotels or VRBOs scattered across the county. Thank you for understanding. Taxi booking information: TBD
The ceremony takes place outdoors. In the event that it rains heavily or there are any other weather related events, the ceremony will be relocated to a second location, likely one of the greenhouses. Each guest that RSVP's "yes" is added to an emergency SMS chat in case of any events like this. All contact info is private and not shared with other guests.
Both cannabis and cigarettes are prohibited on nursery grounds. Additionally, alcohol can only be consumed at the schoolhouse gardens and the vinery. Alcohol is prohibited everywhere else on nursery grounds.
