FAQs

Question

When should you arrive?

Answer

15-20 minutes early. The church doors will close promptly at 3.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden semi-formal - This is broad! Light fabrics, spring colors, solids, and florals all work well (you do not have to have a floral pattern, solid colors are welcome!). We kindly ask that guests avoid jeans or very casual attire. We want you to feel comfortable and look great in the photos!

Question

Parking at the ceremony and reception:

Answer

Ceremony: Parking is free in two lots across Fannin Street from the sanctuary. The addresses for the parking lots are 1131 Binz Street and 5500 San Jacinto Street. The church is within a block of these lots. Reception: Parking is limited, so we’re providing complimentary valet. Just pull up to the entrance, and they’ll park your car at a nearby church.

Question

What's the timeline for the day?

Answer

Ceremony: 3 PM - 4 PM Reception: 4 PM - 8 PM

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

It will be the perfect day! Houston’s April weather tends to be warm and mild, with daytime highs around 75–80°F and comfortable evenings in the low 60s. It’s moderately humid, and while there can be some rain (on average a few days of light showers), downpours are not super common. Expect pleasant spring weather, but having a light jacket for the evening or a small umbrella just in case is a smart idea.
