Our first month together we took a road trip to Jasper. March 2020 during the covid lockdown, I guess this makes us a covid couple?!

Boredom during the lockdown lead to a lot of DYI moments. Tristinn learned the hard way I'm not a hairdresser.

If anyone knows Tristinn, he will be taking a photo when the Northern Lights are out, which is a lot here in Fort McMurray

Things To Do

This time of year tends to be slow in our area of Newfoundland, a lot of business' close for the winter and re-open in late spring. However, there are still things to do! 'Burnt Hill' in Norris Point- beautiful short hike, gorgeous views 'Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse' in Rocky Harbour, short hike, ocean views 'Western Brook Pond' 20 minute drive north of Rocky Harbour. Beautiful hike and boat tour if they haven't closed for the season! 'Gros Morne Mountain' you can do a shorter hike and go to the base of the mountain, or do the full hike 16km approx 6-8hr A drive to Woody Point and Trout River is a must! If you're lucky some restaurants may still be open, and they sell some amazing knitted goods! 'The Tablelands' located between Woody Point and Trout River 'Green Gardens' is located between Woody Point and Trout River and is Sarah's personal fave hike!

Fisherman's Landing Restaurant

I think this might be the only restaurant in the area that's open all year long! It's a goodie, just make sure to bring some tums for after (Tris recommends after personal experience)

Ivan Pittman is Norris Point & Rocky Harbour's only Taxi man! No need to worry about a ride home on Wedding night, he's everyones DD from 11pm-3am. 709-458-2486
