3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Please arrive by 3:00pm. Ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm.
We ask our guests to dress in cocktail attire. Southern California is typically temperate, but January nights tend to get chilly, so Sarah recommends packing a coat. The venue is an hacienda style hotel, so it is open air but surrounded by the building structure. There will be outdoor heating in the seating area.

Flight
San Diego Airport, SAN, will be your best bet! We recommend booking these flights ~3 months prior if you're visiting from afar! SNA airport is ~1.5 hours away, but near Disneyland and typically more expensive. LAX is ~2 hours away, but an okay choice if you'd like to explore Southern California and wouldn't mind somewhat cheaper flights! For those traveling through the San Diego International airport: at the Old Town Transportation Center (6 minute walk from the Cosmo) there is a free airport shuttle! https://www.sdmts.com/getting-around/airport

Bridesmaid
Cristina has been my best friend since 2007--that's more than half of our lives! We became quick friends in high school even though we technically only had one class together. We share a love of the French language, psychology, and baking. She's my constant cheerleader, a wise and insightful sounding board, and my favorite soothing company. Even 8 years of being 3000 miles apart never could keep us apart.
Bridesmaid
Marisa and I were roommates for 10 weeks, then 2 years (really 3), and are as close to roommates now as possible--we live in the same apartment complex! We hit it off back at UCI in 2011, with some extraverted help from Natalie. She is kind, cheerful, intelligent, and oh so witty; we laugh together about any little thing and only stop laughing when our asthma gets the best of us.
Bridesmaid
Natalie and I first met in 2011--she was the social butterfly that began the UCI trio. Our shared love of anime and studying at irregular hours brought us together. She was my roomie for three years, is the mom of my unofficial nephews (and cutest babies to have graced this earth), and will forever be the bestie who always calls first. Her wisdom and patience will always be my haven.
Bridesmaid
Gizem went from roomie to bestie during our first year in grad school. Due to similar backgrounds and upbringings, Turkish and Mexican, of course, struggles in the NH/VT winters, and the grad school-induced trauma, we nurtured our psychic bonds and cross the space/time continuum to communicate with each other. A conversation with her is food for the soul.
Groomsman
Andrew is my much younger and much taller brother. Even though we are 3,000 miles apart, I'm grateful that we regularly keep in touch and can be together during monumental moments. Times spent from talking on the phone while he sits in HOURS of traffic to playing video games and board games online, help shrink that distance.
Groomsman
Greg is my oldest friend. We met in Helen Morgan elementary school and have remained close friends since then. We did so much together: countless sleepovers as kids, singing and goofing off in choir, and even road-tripping to PA and RI once we had our drivers’ licenses. I’m glad we get to see each other and reminisce whenever I find myself back in NJ.
Groomsman
Ever since we were randomly assigned to a room together as 1st years at the annual MCB retreat, I knew this friendship would last. We quickly became friends, rotated in the same labs, and became roommates. Not before long we joined the same lab and sat back-to-back in the same bay. I’m happy we still get to regularly chat while playing board games online.
Groomsman
Colin has been my friend for many beers. Our countless trips to Hill Farmstead and other breweries all over New England brought us close together. I am so glad we were able to be roommates, GSC social co-chairs, and brew partners. I will forever keep the memories (and lack thereof) we made at the Chalet and Beefcake costume parties in my heart.
La Jolla Cove is a small, public beach and is part of an ecological reserve, making it a popular spot to see seals, sea lions, and other wildlife in their natural habitat. Plenty of street parking available in La Jolla or at Ellen Browning Scripps Park.
This one is for the outdoorsy people: Torrey Pines hiking trails. Great for trail running or a leisurely hike. The Beach Trail takes you directly to a gorgeous rocky beach. We did the Beach Trail with Bryan's mom and we loved it!
They have great Mexican cuisine with *handmade tortillas*. Luckily, it's a short walk from The Cosmopolitan.
Amazing cannolis: 10/10. We highly recommend you visit this tiny Italian specialty store/deli. If you get lucky, the staff behind the counter might cut fresh onions and make you cry tears of joy! You can also buy some expensive pesto or San Marzano tomatoes in your down time.
You know how a place is good? It's cash only! Bronx Pizza has plenty of individual slice options. Perfect spot for lunch with the best pizza we have had outside of NJ/NY/New Haven.
Although we love kids and babies, our wedding will be adults only. We look forward to a celebrating with drinks and dancing with you!
