Is there a dress code?

Yes! Our wedding is formal/black tie optional. Formal wear for gentleman may include a traditional suit, or a tuxedo. For women, floor length/midi dresses or gowns.

Can I bring a guest?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate additional guests, we can only accommodate those formally invited on your wedding invitation. Your invitation will be addressed as {Your Name} + {Guest} if a plus one has been given to you.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you kindly put your phones away and on silent for our ceremony. We have an excellent photographer and we will share the photos with you once they are ready!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to find parking and your seat. The ceremony will begin at 6PM so plan to arrive at 5:30. Once the ceremony begins, entrance will not be granted until ceremony is completed.

Where should we park?

There is complimentary Valet Available Off of John R. This is limited, so not everyone will be able to park with valet, first come first serve!

Are the ceremony & reception at the same place?

Answer

Yes! Both take place at the Detroit Institute of Arts - ceremony will take place in the Diego Rivera Court and the reception will take place in the Great Hall.
