Newport cruises are a great way to relax and sight see with little effort. A favorite of the bride's is the Newport Mimosa and Lighthouse Cruise - you'll get bottomless mimosas and croissants, and gorgeous views of the Newport mansions and lighthouses :) The port where the cruise ships dock also offer excellent options for ocean-side dining and great shopping!
If you are looking for an early summer beach experience, Easton's Beach is a gorgeous option that is within walking distance to local shops and restaurants. The Cliff Walk overlooks Easton's Beach, making the beach a great destination after your hike. Be sure to try the twin lobster rolls at the beach's snack bar!
While we both love children, we ask that you keep your little ones at home for the evening. All invited guests will be listed under your party name when you RSVP.
There is plenty of complementary parking at OceanCliff! There is limited parking at St. John's - the church has a small parking lot and there is street parking available. We recommend taking advantage of the bus if you are staying at one of the two hotels listed on the invitation.
Our ceremony will be indoors at St. John's of Newport, followed by a tented cocktail hour on the upper deck at OceanCliff. Our wedding reception will be indoors in the ballroom.
The dress code for our wedding is Formal Attire. Men are asked to wear a suit and tie (tuxedos are optional). Women are asked to wear a floor-length or ankle length gown, knee-length cocktail dress, a pantsuit, or dressy separates.
All invited guests will be named on the invitation you receive.
Our wedding will be a celebration of the coming together of cultures and families. To celebrate the bride's culture, we invite our guests to join in on the Dabke; a traditional Lebanese/Phoenician folk dance that has been passed down for generations. What started as a dance celebrating the harvest has evolved into a celebration and testament of a resilient and fun-loving people. We can't wait to share it with you! If you want to get some practice in, here is a great tutorial video (use step 1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_F9rKTdtZ0&list=PLFwp1cge_aKRXR29OkOKaCrm7D-gK8Z-Y
