In the summer of 2022, our church announced several mission's trip to various part of the world. Both of us had a deep desire to serve God in a meaningful way. We did our research and with much prayer, we both selected Peru as our mission's trip destination. At the time, we had no awareness or context of each other. As our group met to plan, pray and prepare for the trip, we were both able to interact with each other mutually. We engaged in general conversations about our how long we attended the church. Eventually, as we immersed in all of the outreaches and evangelism opportunities while on the missions trip, it became apparent that we shared a lot of interests and beliefs. Of course, both of us not wanting to interact with the other in a way that seemed too strong, we gradually talked about hobbies, our families and faith in God. Definitely, not wanting to distract each other from the focus of the trip, we continued to remain mutually engaged with each other. When coming to the end of the trip, our mission's group decided to save each others numbers as a way of staying connected. Fortunately, this offered an opportunity for us to exchange numbers and open the door for more conversations. Over the next year, these conversations would connect us and lead us to become exclusive to one another, to now us getting married.
