Randy and Samantha met in an IRC chat room in the summer of 2000 as teenagers. Their very first interaction was Samantha entering said chat room, writing something that was meant to be insulting, and Randy immediately banning her with an even more insulting message. Samantha eventually came back to the chat room and after quietly lurking for a long time, they started chatting and quickly became extremely good friends. Randy always treated Samantha as if she were a princess - the coolest girl in the world. Samantha was impressed with Randy’s wit, intelligence, skill, and humor. Randy and Samantha remained close and loyal friends over the next decade, being there for each other throughout life’s up’s and down’s. Samantha and Randy met in person for the first time summer of 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. Samantha toured much of the city with Randy, checking out all of the cool and interesting spots and making the best memories. Randy would travel to Tokyo several times after over the next 6 years and they would spend much time together, often with Samantha’s kids in tow. In 2016, Samantha would move back to the U.S., and like the good friend that Randy was, he traveled to Oklahoma to help her and the kids set up in their house. At this point, Samantha was starting to feel different about Randy and tried to drop hints, but Randy didn’t want to risk their friendship or take advantage of Samantha’s vulnerable state. Randy showed himself to be the truest friend she could have. Over the years, Samantha got stronger, and her feelings for Randy became stronger. She knew that she would never meet another man who treated her the way he did. She decided to express her feelings to Randy. Randy outright rejected Samantha’s advances, citing his unreadiness for a relationship and not willing to risk destroying their friendship. Samantha didn’t give up and continued to pursue Randy for a few years, even traveling to San Francisco to visit him. Their relationship remained in a friendship status. Eventually, though, Randy decided to give things a chance. Samantha moved with her two kids to Las Vegas to start a new life with Randy in 2020, buying a home together in 2022. Their love and friendship continue to grow day after day, supporting each other in their dreams, goals, trials and tribulations.
