It all started with live music, a mutual friend, and a bold text message. In March 2023, Ka’el was visiting London for the first time with his best friend Gabe. Their mutual friend invited them to a gig. The performer? None other than Sabiyha, a powerhouse singer and songwriter with stage presence for days. After the show, their friend introduced them. A few words were exchanged, a warm hug or two, and then they parted ways. Simple, sweet, unassuming. What neither of them knew was that just a couple of days later, they were both texting their friend about each other. Their friend, clearly over it, told both of them to stop texting them and start texting each other. So Ka’el took the leap. He sent a message saying he had a crush, and asked if Sabiyha might want to chat, get to know each other… maybe flirt a little. Fast forward through two years of long-distance love, thousands of messages, hundreds of hours of FaceTime calls and many plane rides later, Sabiyha proposed. It happened at Their Majesties, a beloved queer event close to Sabiyha's heart, in front of friends, family, and a room full of cheering strangers. Now, they’re planning a wedding, with just as much joy, intention, and still a lot of flirting.

The entrance will be through the courtyard. Walk through the courtyard. You'll see wooden bench blocks scattered throughout. The double door entrance will be on your left. You will see people through glass doors and windows! Keep an eye out for a text from me with some picture instructions on how to find the venue a week before the wedding!

Since the courthouse ceremony will be short: just five minutes to get married and ten minutes for photos, we’ve decided to read our vows to each other at the pizza party instead. This way everyone can share that special moment with us, since we couldn't bring everyone to the courthouse with us. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all!

Thanks to our friend Olive who offered to host at their place, we now have a space to celebrate our wedding! Yay! Please check out the "Schedule" section for the time and address. We'll feed you pizzas, salads, garlic knots, sweet treats and soft drinks and you BYO alcohol or more soft drinks 😎 You're also more than welcome to bring food and snacks to the party! We'll continue updating with any new things. Stay tuned!

Wear something you feel good in, just please no jeans. It’s a special day, and we’d love for everyone to dress it up a little. Think: “I’m going to a relaxed wedding,” not “I’m running errands.”

Good question and we love you for asking! As much as we wish everyone could be there, the courtroom had limited capacity so we had to keep the ceremony small. BUT the real fun happens at the celebration afterward, and that’s where we want you! If you can’t make it to this one, don’t worry, we’re doing it again with a bigger bash in London later on, and we hope you’ll be there to celebrate with us! We love you and can’t wait to celebrate with you soon!
