There is always two sides to the story... Mai's Story: I went to Five Stars Lane (bowling alley) in Plover, WI with my older brother and sister-in-law, one of the least likely place I would go to. While talking to my one of my guy cousins, I saw a guy who I've never seen before approached my brother and started conversing with him. While I continued to talk to my cousin, I can see this guy glancing over to me trying to give me eye contact. I then asked my cousin sarcastically to stop talking to me. I said, "That guy is going to think we're together." He said I was being stupid and walked away to approach the guys. A short while after, I decided to join the conversation with my brother, cousin and this new guy. I reached out my hand out to him to shake his hand and introduced myself. He said his name was Ryu, but then immediately asked my cousin and I if we were together? My cousin and I looked at each other and was grossed out by his question. "Absolutely not!" I then asked Ryu if he would like to join us downtown to hang out as the night was still young. He said, "No, I have to go back to my kids." The record scratched. I thought to myself, "Damn, I just got rejected and OH SHIT! I didn't even asked or checked if he was married?!" It was a good 15 minutes of meeting this guy....I thought to myself that I would never hear or see him again. Little did I know, I have met the love of my life and my forever after. Ryu's Story (the truth): I was in Stevens Point for my cousin's wife's 40th surprise birthday party. It was a great event and catching up with friends/family I haven't seen in a long time. Towards the end of the night, my friend Davie and I decided we would have a "night-cap" at Five Star Lanes, as that's where the birthday party was held earlier and meet a couple other friends. Upon walking into the bar area where my friend Jimmy was sitting, my attention was suddenly taken by a beautiful lady sitting at the end of the bar to the right. I was drawn to her bright red lip stick, and she never took her eyes off off me. I thought her behavior was strange at first as she was with another man (who later turned out to be her cousin), but figure I would be polite and smiled back. Davie and I continued our way to the bar and begin conversating with Jimmy and catching up on old times. Then suddenly, Mai walks over and, like Moses, with her arms, clears a path in front of 3 people and extends her hand out and says, "Hi, I'm Mai Vue. Sorry my brother is rude and won't introduce me to his hot friends!" Turns out Mai is Jimmy's little sister! Mai's commotion caught Jimmy in the middle of taking a sip of his beer. Suddenly Jimmy and I looked at each other and I can see he's thinking "is this really happening???" I shook Mai's hand and we talked for 15 and a half mins. Mai then invited me to go downtown with her group of friends to party the night away. To which I replied, "I have to go home to my kids." I can see the sudden shock in her eyes to my response, but little did she know... I had just gotten out of a relationship. Though I enjoyed our conversation, I was not ready to jump into another relationship. Mai left with her friends and Davie and I called it a night. Little did I know, this would be the start of our friendship that would eventually turn into love and lead us to this very event. Love you babe!
