Xi and Ryan first met on a cold day in February, 2023. The two immediately hit it off and began dating that March. Later in 2023, Ryan moved into Xi's Medford apartment, and they've survived living together ever since then. In 2024, Ryan got the opportunity to visit China to meet Xi's family for the first time. Xi and Ryan moved to Exeter, New Hampshire in April, 2024 and have grown to love the area deeply. Ryan and Xi love going for walks, watching movies, exploring, traveling, and most importantly: always looking for good food.

Yuqing and Xi met in Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, where they went for the Bachelor's degree. Yuqing is one of the most caring and patient people, fills in Xi's life with strong support and love.

Jiawei and Xi have been friends since they were 12 years old. If you want to know Xi's childhood stories, Jiawei is your "go-to" person. She has been so nice, generous and supportive through the years.
Xiaoshuang Chen

Xiaoshuang is Xi's first friend in Boston. She is a great dentist, dedicated to work. She helps Xi go through a lot of hard times in a strange country. We love her and feel so lucky to have her as a friend.

Kayla Gooding, the newlywed wife of Ryan's brother Matthew Gooding, is a beloved new member of the Gooding family as well as a close friend to Xi and Ryan. She is also the Mother of Xi and Ryan's favorite nephew Beckham <3 (also our only nephew)
Alex Edgerly

Alex helped pick up and dropped off Xi multiple times when Xi just moved to Exeter and had no car to travel. Alex is really nice and lovely. Her baked goods are the best. Xi loves her lemon brownies to death.
Morgan Prestridge

When Xi and Ryan were looking for a new Church after moving to Exeter, they stumbled into Riverside Church, where Morgan made a point to introduce herself and her husband Zyan. Since then, the of them have been dear friends. Sharing meals, games, and laughs together. She has been a friendly and caring person to the couple moving to an unfamiliar place.
Matthew Gooding

Matthew is Ryan's older brother. The two share many fond childhood memories of torturing each other as well as their parents. They share an unrivaled passion for food, leaving many all-you-can-eat restaurants damaged in their wake.
Mikhail "Misha" Draganiuc

Misha is one of Ryan's friends from high school. The two share a love for video games, tech, animation, and other nerdy things. Misha is goofy and light hearted, but is also caring, and Ryan appreciates his help during tough times.
Zach Claussen

Zach is one of Ryan's friends from high school. They share fond memories of jumping off the Nahant wharf, climbing on the rocks of Forty-Steps, and hiking. Zach and his wife Luana have been great hiking companions to both Ryan and Xi.
Daniel Keegan McCarty
Groomsman
Referred most commonly by his middle name; Keegan had the misfortune of being Ryan's college room mate at Mass Maritime, and from then on he has not been able to free himself of Ryan. The two share a deep rooted passion of history, religion, and the humanities in general. Keegan and Ryan once annoyed Xi by talking about history for 8 hours nonstop on a road trip.

Josh has been a great friend to Ryan and Xi since they moved to Exeter in 2024. Josh, along with his wife Alex, have been a huge help us with watching the cats, hosting dinner, and meeting us for a game of pickle ball, which they usually win.
Zyan Prestridge

Zyan and his wife Morgan were the first people to greet us at Riverside Church when we first moved Exeter. Since then, Zyan has been a close friend to both of us. A hard working father, Church volunteer, and dear friend, he's been a friendly face to us since moving to an unfamiliar area.
