Invitations are out! Please RSVP online and contact us directly with any questions. We can't wait to see you in June in the Queen City.
We met at a mutual friend’s birthday party at a brewery in Charlotte. Our conversation covered a lot of ground including our shared love of raclette. Our first date was a few months later at a concert in Charlotte and the adventures have continued ever since!

Bridesmaid
Jen and Loren met in 2013 when they were colleagues at Virginia’s Community Colleges. Loren asked Jen where she would “live” during her consulting gig amidst a large cube farm. Through many Target/Walgreens adventures, early morning FaceTimes and shenanigans all over RVA, it is Jen's humor, kindness and empathy that Loren admires most.
Bridesmaid
Loren and Emily met through a mutual donor/volunteer in 2020. During their first “meeting”, they spent over two hours sharing stories at Rosie's and quickly made plans to hang out again. Emily was a co-conspirator with Ryan and Loren’s youngest sister Carrie Rose to “hatch” the adorable proposal in Richmond in June 2023. Loren can always count on Emily for levity, support, humor and compassion.
Best Man
John is Ryan's brother and fellow attorney. They share a love of golf and bourbon. John and his wife Kelsey are parents to Ryan's favorite nephew, Rhodes.
Officiant/Father of the Groom/Groomsman
Jim is Ryan and John's father and more recently, proud grandfather of Rhodes. He is an avid golfer, gardener, antique collector and pastor of 50 years. He will celebrate 49 years of loving marriage to Ryan's mother, Jane, in August 2024.
Usher
Ryan and Jess met at Furman University where they were roommates for four years. Jess helped cultivate Ryan's interest in the outdoors and more recently, Jess's wedding to his wife, Rachel, served as one of Loren and Ryan's earliest trips and fondest memories.
Usher
Charles and Ryan attended high school together and bonded over music. They enjoy listening to live shows together to this day. Charles lives in Sumter with his wife Charlotte and their son, Sawyer.
Usher
Ryan and Rob met at Wake Forest University School of Law. They share passions for skiing, fishing and Rob and Aggie's annual shrimp boil in Northern Virginia. The Robine's have two children - Emma and Ryan, rounding out Rob's Ski Squad.
Fondly referred to as "The Place" by Loren's sister Carrie, Optimist Hall has multiple restaurants, a gelato stand, a bakery and local retail. Plenty of parking, indoor and outdoor space.
Home of Loren's favorite popcorn vendor/flavor (It's Poppin'/Fried Chicken Popcorn) and delicious restaurants (pizza, soul food, cheese shop, Italian) and fun, local vendors featuring CLT Find, a coffee shop and a wine bar. It's a stop on the light rail, so convenient to South End, Uptown and NoDa. Oh, and free parking in the adjoining deck for up to two hours
Where Ryan and Loren met at their friend Chip's birthday gathering. Housed in a former bank (in Charlotte!?!?! Shocker.), Vaulted Oak is a laidback brewery with a rotation of Charlotte's best food trucks and plenty of parking.
Rosie's. Is. Wonderful. Terrific for coffee, glass of wine, a plant (or a few...), contemplating the great American novel and wedding invitation photos. Other features are live music on Friday nights and location - walking distance to Optimist Hall. Parking next to Rosie's can be sparse, but there's plenty around the corner in the CATS parking deck.
From zip-lining to whitewater rafting, kayaking to a climbing wall over a pool, the Whitewater Center offers a variety of activities. On-site restaurant, hiking trails and access to the Catawba River. Plan to drive 25-30 minutes from Charlotte.
The most Richmond place in Charlotte, according to Loren. Camp North End offers unique restaurants, coffee shops, a silkscreen shop, plant store, two breweries and probably more by June 21/22. Plenty of free parking.
Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) and is ranked among the world’s busiest airports. It is located about 20 minutes west of Uptown Charlotte.
