We met at a mutual friend's co-ed baby shower. Jesi knew the mom (Joelle) from Tahoe. Ryan knew the dad (Dan) from Tesla. We started talking and found out we had a lot of common interests like the outdoors, adventure, food, family and friends. We started going out and meeting each other's friends and family, going on hikes together and trying new restaurants - the rest is history!

Flight
Reno Tahoe Airport is by far the closest airport to our wedding venue, unless you want to fly on a private jet. Private jets can land at the Tahoe Truckee airport. The Reno airport is about an hour drive from North Lake Tahoe and about 1 hr 20 minutes' drive to the Meeks Bay Resort wedding venue. We highly suggest renting a car for the weekend to transport yourselves from the Reno Tahoe airport to the wedding and back. Otherwise, you could also get an Uber or Lyft but they are limited in the Tahoe area.

The bride and groom have arranged for a 20% group discount at this hotel for all wedding guests. The Friday welcome dinner and the Sunday farewell brunch are both kid friendly. If you are in town and would like to join us for the welcome dinner and/or farewell brunch please feel free to bring your children along. Please just RSVP accordingly for all three events over the weekend. However, while we adore your children, we are unfortunately unable to include all of them in our wedding celebration on Saturday. We appreciate everyone's understanding and efforts to arrange child care for the night of the event. If you are interested in finding local professional child care (babysitting or nannying services) for the afternoon/evening of the wedding ceremony and reception please contact: https://laketahoesitters.com/ If you are traveling from out of town and might be unable to attend the wedding without bringing your children please contact Ryan or Jesi directly to chat about more options or case-by-case exceptions as they're open to having under 20 children at the wedding but unfortunately can't accommodate all 100 children.
Semi-Formal: sits right between casual and formal-polished/dressy, but not as strict or elaborate as black tie. For men, a suit and tie, or dress shirt, slacks, sports coats. For women, dresses, jumpsuits or skirts/pants and top option. Temperatures will drop significantly in the evening so please bring warm clothes.
The entire wedding both ceremony and reception will be held outdoors along the beautiful shores of Lake Tahoe. There will be outdoor patio heaters but please bring warm clothes for cold weather at night.
The wedding is located at Meeks Bay Resort located at 7941 Emerald Bay Rd Tahoma, CA. This is a remote location on the shores of Lake Tahoe at a campground accessed by a windy two lane road (hwy 89). Please plan accordingly to make sure you give yourself plenty of time to arrive and park. Very limited free parking along the two lane highway (hwy 89) right outside of Meeks Bay resort. Otherwise, you can park onsite in the resort for $10/per vehicle. Guests staying onsite at the resort, parking is included for up to two vehicles per campsite, RV site, or cabin.
Friday night we will be having a welcome dinner for anyone who is in town. Kids are welcome to this event, we'd love to see you. For all events on Saturday we kindly request it be primarily adults only. For the Sunday morning brunch, anyone who is still in town please feel free to join us, kids welcome. Please RSVP accordingly on our website for all three events Fri-Sun.
Meeks Bay Resort is a campground run and managed by the local Washoe Tribe. Ryan and Jesi personally booked 17 cabins at the Meeks Bay Campground for family and friends. There is one 4 bedroom cabin that sleeps 9 people called the "Washoe House". There are ten 2 bedroom cabins that sleep 6 people as they have a pull out couch in the living room. There are five one bedroom cabins available that sleep 2 people. Lastly, there is one larger one bedroom cabin available called "Lodge 8" that sleeps 5 people. All cabins have one full sized bathroom with either a shower or shower/tub and a full kitchen. All cabins are also lakefront with gorgeous lakeviews. If you are interested in renting one of these cabins please contact Ryan and Jesi directly to reserve and pay them directly as they already booked all of them for 2 nights on Friday and Saturday (September 11 & 12, 2026). Also, Ryan and Jesi booked 4 RV sites and 9 campsites all of which have an occupancy of 6 people and 2 vehicles are allowed per site. Campsites are plentiful and a very affordable option as it only costs $134 per site for 2 nights (Friday & Saturday night). RV sites cost $180 total for the 2 nights (Friday and Saturday night). Please contact Ryan and Jesi if you are interested in camping so they can transfer these campsite or RV reservations over to you and you can reimburse them directly. Here is a link to the Meeks Bay Resort website to see more information, photos, & description about the cabins, RV sites, and campsites: https://www.recreation.gov/camping/campgrounds/10220612
All of the cabins onsite have full sized kitchens, apart from just one of the smaller 1 bedroom cabins, which still has a fridge and microwave. There is also a local general store/mini-market located onsite at the campground with mostly snack food available for purchase. If you are staying onsite in one of the cabins we would highly recommend stopping at a local grocery store in Tahoe City on your way to the venue to buy some food to cook up in your cabin kitchens for all meals outside of the provided event meals on Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday morning. If you are camping onsite there are bear boxes to store any camp food and coolers in. Lastly, there are a few nearby restaurants in Tahoma, CA if you would like to eat out. Otherwise, Tahoe City is the nearest local town with proper grocery stores, gas stations, and plenty of restaurant options to dine out.
Check in time is 3 PM. Check out time is 11 AM.
The attire for the Friday night welcome dinner is "dressy casual", which essentially just means a step up and a bit dressier than casual but it's still not quite semi-formal. For the ladies, cocktail dresses, skirts, romers or nice pants a cute shirts could be nice. For the men, button-up or collared shirts with some nice pants and shoes could work. The groom will be wearing a linen suit and the bride a white dress.
