How far is the airport from the Villa La Valencia Resort & Spa? Is there a shuttle available?

Answer

The San Jose del Cabo airport is located approximately 35 minutes from Villa La Valencia, Los Cabos. Yes, airport shuttle service can be booked through Villa La Valencia. Their transportation vendor is Cabo Seasons. Rates and additional information can be found under the TRAVEL section.

Is it easy to rent a vehicle? Is it recommended?

Answer

Yes, it is very easy to rent a vehicle and the shuttle to the rental car locations is less than 10min from the airport. Costs are very comparable. However, please make sure to review your current insurance policies prior to booking. Dissimilar to the states, your personal vehicle insurance might not cover international rentals. We learned it is better to add the additional coverage while traveling there recently in February. Renting a vehicle will be completely up to you and your travel plans. If interested in venturing into town, heading to the beach or leaving the resort, I would suggest renting a car. It is easy to drive around and parking seemed relatively available to the locations we ventured and usually free. However, not everywhere.

Do I have to book at Villa La Valencia for the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely not! However, it is highly encouraged. We would love to spend as much time with our family and friends during our wedding weekend. We do ask that all individuals in the wedding party book at the resort, if possible. However, feel free to book at any other hotel/resort you prefer.

Are there any additional fees we should be aware of?

Answer

You can expect to pay a very nominal environmental fee of $3.83 USD/per room per night. This is mandated by the city of Los Cabos and is not a hotel discretionary fee. Additionally, much like booking a hotel stay in the US guests can expect a $500 hold on their credit cards upon check in for incidentals.

What does the all-inclusive fee cover at Villa La Valencia and do I have to choose all-inclusive when booking?

Answer

The all inclusive plan at Villa La Valencia includes all meals and basic/alcoholic beverages, with up-charges for premium meats/seafood and premium wine/spirits selections. Additional discounts are available for spa services, laundry/dry cleaning services, in-room dining, babysitting services, and certain locations within the resort. No, you are not required to purchase the inclusive option when booking at Villa La Valencia. After visiting the resort, we did learn the following around the meals & service that is included in the all-inclusive options: -There are 4 locations for your dining experience while on-site: Latitud 23.5 Steak House, La Taberna, El Patron & Coralle. -El Patron hosts is a daily breakfast buffet and an a la carte dinner; no reservations required. -Coralle has first come, first served lunch and dinner. -Latitud & La Taberna have first come, first served lunch & dinner by reservation. Guests can make reservations as availability opens online at https://villalavalencia.com/dining. It is highly recommended as we get into busy season [starting in May]. -24 Hour Room services in included for the amount of people who are staying in each room. It is not possible to request food or drink for more than the number of people staying in the room. Is there transportation to and from the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Transportation will be provided to all guests to and from the wedding venue from Villa La Valencia. For those staying at different resorts, we ask you please meet us at Villa La Valencia for ease of transporting all guests. Times of shuttles and transportation will be shared once finalized.

Can we swim at the beach?

Answer

No. Unfortunately a majority of resorts in Cabo don't allow water access. You can still access the beach however, and there are designated beaches just north or south of the resort that do allow for water access and is just a short shuttle ride down the road.
