Things To Do

The places to eat are some of Megan’s favorites. Even though she’s not been back for about 5 years (for some places) they were great places for over a decade. Also some of the attractions are worth checking out especially if it’s your first time visiting San Francisco/Bay area

Sam's Anchor Cafe

27 Main Street, Tiburon, CA 94920
, 415-435-4527

Tiburon is a great little (bougie for those of you from the south) town on the bay. This is one of our favorite brunch spots and sit out on the deck. Warning it gets busy and the seagulls will try and eat your food 😁

Sausalito

Sausalito, CA 94965

Sausalito a beautiful view of San Francisco and Tiburon has a European feel to it.it is a famous spot and great place for a romantic dinner. It can be quite pricey however an experience will last a life time.

Toast Restaurant

5800 Nave Drive, Novato, CA 94949

Not to far north on 101, from Embassy Suites

Le Croissant Restaurant

150 Bellam Boulevard, San Rafael, CA 94901
, 4154560164

CASH ONLY! Closed Saturday/Sunday. Super sad face, however if you arrive during the week great place to get the BEST pastries. The Manfredonia girls use to eat here all the time. Their grandma Tessie would bring them croissants. Megan use to use love the cinnamon twists….. before she was Gluten free

Muir Woods Visitor Center/Stinson Beach

1 Muir Woods Road, Mill Valley, CA 94941

Beautiful Redwood trees and the drive to Stinson beach. Beautiful breathtaking panoramic view. Some of my best memories of Megan’s childhood and part of the reason we are hosting our wedding in California. ***Roads are windy drive responsible, if you drive slow please use the pull outs. Locals know these roads and drive a bit crazy and even in both lanes (I am guilty of been one in my younger years) use your headlights even if it’s daytime and if you get car sick no vomiting in the rental cars. * **if there is fog DO NOT use your brights! You will blind yourself and others.

Larkspur Ferry Terminal/SF

101 East Sir Francis Drake Boulevard, Larkspur, CA 94939

This is always an exciting experience. Also if plan on going to the Giants game we will be taking this ferry ride as transportation. Fun fact: it goes right by San Quintet Federal Correctional Facility. If your not good we just may leave ya there

Cable Car Turnaround Powell St.

Cable Car Turnaround Powell St.

Powell Street, San Francisco, CA 94102

Take a trolley ride in San Francisco and view the sites from a historical transportation. Tips from stood.com: -For the best views, you want to be on the side that faces the bay. That’s the eastern side of the Powell cars, meaning the right hand side for cars leaving from downtown and the left side for cars leaving from the Fisherman’s Wharf area. -When you exit the cable car, wait for it to pass rather than crossing in front of it. The drivers are always paying attention but this is a heavy vehicle that can’t swerve to miss you so stay aware! Cable cars are sometimes late if it’s raining. It takes them longer to slow down when the tracks are wait. That’s just something to be aware of if you’re on a schedule. -Even on warm days it can get chilly on the cable car as it gets moving up and down those hills. Bring a windbreaker. -Put your belongings, such as bags and backpacks, on your lap or at your feet. They shouldn’t be hanging off of the car.

Haight-Ashbury neighborhood

Haight Street between Masonic and Stanyan, San Francisco, CA 94117

Cool shops

Fisherman's Wharf/ Pier 39

2550 Powell Street, San Francisco, CA

Fisherman's Wharf is great for stop for SEA LIONS, fresh sourdough, seafood, and souvenirs for your friends back home. Charter sail boats that leave from the wharf and take you around the bay. I did this in 2019 when I returned from Hawaii. It’s a tourist trap so please be aware like any other tourist attraction it can be crowded and costly especially on a beautiful day.

Lombard Street

Lombard Street

1070 Lombard Street, San Francisco, CA

Lombard Street in San Francisco is one of America's crookedest streets. Some of San Francisco’s most expensive real estate sits on Lombard Street. This Russian Hill neighborhood possesses stately mansions even with the endless array of tourists pouring down the street every day. In the spring and through the entire summer, Lombard Street is alive with color, as the many beautiful flowers are in bloom. The Real World House is located at 949 Lombard Street between Jones and Leavenworth, just before you reach the bottom of the curvy part of the road if you’re walking up the hill.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Experience

Ghirardelli Chocolate Experience

900 North Point Street, San Francisco, CA 94109

Next to Fisherman’s wharf if you’re already in the area this is a great stop. Especially if you love chocolate

Drive past the “Mrs. Doubtfire” house

2640 Steiner Street, San Francisco, CA 94115

We all love Robin Williams especially in the classic movie Mrs. Doubtfire. The Pacific Heights icon is a private home and not open for tours, but has become a monument of sorts to the beloved Bay Area actor. (Copied from Sfgate.com)

The herd’s first home was in the park’s eastern end, near where the Music Concourse now stands, but in 1899 they were moved to the meadow where you see them today, just west of Spreckels Lake along John F. Kennedy Drive. The small herd that remains is cared for by staff from the San Francisco Zoo, while Recreation and Parks Department gardeners maintain the enclosure”

FAQs

Question

Live Streaming

Answer

We know we are asking a lot from our family and friends to join us in San Francisco to share our special day. Since COVID happened everyone one’s lives changed and traditional weddings are of the past. By far Rodney and I are NOT having a traditional wedding. And post COVID weddings have been live streamed. So we are jumping on this opportunity to have everyone who would like to be apart, however, can not make the journey will still be with us. Please make sure your email address is correct and you click the RSVP button to show live streaming. I will send a link to everyone who wishes to watch the ceremony.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

You can locate our registry here on Zola and is linked to the following: Macy’s, Amazon and Target

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know. It is going to be buffet style food. Megan is gluten free so there will be gluten free options.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible. The absolute latest July 15, 2024. This is a destination wedding even though most are in or near the Bay Area we still need to prepare from a distance and different time zone. If you need more time please feel free to reach out to us.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Please contact Megan if you are traveling from out of state. If you are local we ask that only the bridal party “kids” will be in attendance the reception due to space. Children are more than welcome to come to the ceremony.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Do to limited space we do ask no to bring anyone who is not listed on the invitation or contact Megan to discuss further

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

This is an all day event which both venues outdoors. We are going for a garden vibe dress code. Please be mindful with high heels. The ceremony is on grass across the street is the Ocean and the reception has gravel floors. Please bring layers especially if you plan on staying in the city between the ceremony and the reception

Question

What to do during the long break between the ceremony and reception

Answer

I have added and will continue to add things to do under “Things to do” something’s which I enjoy and what y’all may like to do even if your a local or think you have seen or been every where. Something’s may surprise you or will give you the chance to check something new out.

Question

Parking/Car Pooling

Answer

The parking in SF is horrible to say the least. If you can car pool that would be awesome. We do understand this is going to be a long day so car pooling may not be an option. I have uploaded some maps under pictures so you can see the layout outs of the ceremony and reception

Question

Safety

Answer

Yes we are getting married in San Francisco. Yes there has been more crime in the city, it is like any other large city. Please be smart. Do not leave anything in your car even change. People are the worst and will break in for ANYTHING. If you need to put your belongings in the trunk or getting your belongings out of the trunk please do this blocks away so if people are “watching” it’s not where you’re parking. Even if we were doing our wedding in Hawaii we would be saying the same thing.

Question

Ride Shares ie uber/lyft

Answer

We are all for ride shares. This is an easy ways to get around SF. It’s safe (most have cameras in their cars. I did when I was driving Uber) cheaper than parking in SF and having to find parking.
