Rocky moved from Hawaii to New York City in November 2019, looking for more contra dancing (among other things). He and Shoshana quickly met at the dances and were just starting to become friends when the Covid shutdown happened. With NYC as an early epicenter, he moved to New Hampshire to join his family's isolation pod, but he wanted to maintain the friendships he was building and so suggested to Shoshana that they play Hanabi online. Hanabi is a cooperative board game where you have to be strategic in your communication in order to set off as many fireworks as possible, or as Shoshana describes it "Hanabi is a game of trust." Months and months of playing Hanabi together eventually turned into dating.
Camp will provide sheets, blankets, bath towels and soap. In addition to the clothes you’ll need for the weekend, you should bring: - Shampoo, toiletries, sunscreen, and insect repellent - Comfortable clothes and shoes for walking, a flashlight, and a water bottle (it’s a camp after all!) - Rain gear - Wedding clothing – for dancing, for the reception & the wedding itself - A swimsuit if you plan on swimming or boating - A sweatshirt or fall jacket as the weather can be cool at night - Any personal items you may need or want (ex. dance shoes, board games, toys for your child/ren, a musical instrument if you want to jam). - If you already own a copy of Rise Up Singing, bring it for the Campfire Singalong.

We're working on gathering some recommendations for our out-of-towner guests. Stay tuned!
Please send US your questions! Sending them to us helps us add more needed info to the FAQs so everyone can be informed. If you have a question, someone else probably has that question too.
The cabins are small but well equipped. Each cabin has two beds, each of which can become a bunk-bed, for 2-4 people per cabin. Each cabin also has a tiny bathroom with a toilet and a shower and a sink in the room itself. Cabins also have their own heat/ac units so you can regulate temperatures as needed. If you plan to come in a group of 3+, a door can be opened up joining two cabins together. Registration for the cabins will be done directly through the camp - we'll let you know when the registration opens.
That depends on where you're coming from. We know some people are planning to drive and others are planning to fly into either NYC or Scranton, PA. If you fly into NYC or are coming from NYC, you are welcome to join the group traveling by bus.
Please wear clothes that make you happy all weekend long! For the reception we encourage people to wear clothes that are “camp nice.” Slacks and collared shirts, nice but comfy dresses or pants are all perfect. High heels and suits are fancier than is needed. The dress code for the ceremony is a little looser so you don’t have to change clothes before leaving.
The bus will depart on Friday at 3:15, so please aim to arrive at the bus pick-up spot around 3pm. It'll be leaving from the west side of Manhattan, right around 175th street. Those flying in will want to fly into Laguardia (the best of the NYC airports) and then take the M60 bus to the west side and an A train north to 175th street.
Unfortunately no. For various reasons we won't be able to accommodate dogs.
Your presence is gift enough. If you really feel so compelled please either donate to a charity doing important work or bring a card.
Unfortunately no. Sorry!
We'll post our registry here when we're finished building it. Thank you in advance!
