A long, long time ago... in December 2005, when Josh and Rochelle were babies, Josh had recently gotten home from his mission. Rochelle and Josh ended up meeting when a mutual friend of theirs was leaving on her mission. They started hanging out and dated for a short time but the timing was just not right. They moved on with their lives. Fast forward 18 years to September 2021. At this point Josh and Rochelle are both single. Rochelle created a Facebook post and Josh decided to comment. Then Rochelle decided to message Josh and asked him how life is going. They proceed to start talking. They then hung out a couple times and then start dating a month or so later. Rochelle got to know Josh's 9 year old son, Sawyer and his 5 year old triplets, Avery, Parker and Braden. The rest is history.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We decided to go for a drive with Sawyer, Braden, Avery and Parker. We started driving up Provo Canyon. Every turn off was seemingly closed because of potential flooding of the Provo river after our heavy snowfall winter. We drove through to Heber and stopped at a park where the kids could play for a while and enjoy the warmish day. We made the way back to Provo Canyon and turned into the Vivian Park area. We drove up that road for a while and found a secluded trail parking lot. Sawyer and Braden took the lead on the snowy path. We then came across an open field and the kids decided they were going to explore for a few minutes. Josh then proceeded to ask Avery, "What do you love about Rochelle?" Avery says "I love 100 things about Rochelle and if I started telling you all of them, Rochelle wouldn't ever be able to talk." Then Josh asks Sawyer what he loves about Rochelle. Sawyer said "I love her cooking." Then Josh asks Braden what he loves and he starts telling us about the trees. Then Parker also says he loves Rochelle's cooking. Sawyer added that he loves all Rochelle's plans. Josh then has one hand covering his other hand and explains to the kids that now he is going to take what is in his hand and ask Rochelle to marry him and that means she is going to be their step-mom. He asks how they feel about it. They all say they are happy about it. Rochelle was looking at the kids when Josh then got on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes and kissed him.
