Tarika was pursuing her Practical Nursing License. Rob worked in Financial Aid. She first caught Rob’s eye when she was trying to fit skis into the trunk of her car, so she could go to lunch with some classmates. Rob, being a professional mover, watched curiously for a while before offering his magic touch. They discussed weekend plans, during which each would be attending church- Tarika, to sing in the choir. The following week, our choir girl heard heavy rock music playing through the hall. She traced it to Rob’s office, where she curiously paused in front of his open door and, with a coquettish smile, said “Hey.” After a week of stopping, smiling, and saying “hey”, she found the courage to step inside. The rest … is history.
