Is there parking?

We have a complimentary bus to Forest and Flowers from Pittsburgh (see details in FAQ below and photo above). However, if you prefer to drive, Forest and Flowers will have parking available! A parking attendant will be available to direct guests.

How does the bus work?

Answer

The bus is a restored antique coach from 1969, sure to be a fun and historical experience! The driver will be in period attire and provide historical facts throughout the ride. Great for photos!! The bus will depart at 2:00 pm Saturday August 30th from the corner of 40th St and Butler St in Pittsburgh (Lawrenceville, old Rite Aid parking lot, GPS 40.468741, -79.962824). It will arrive at the venue at 3:15pm. If there are any day of issues finding or getting to the bus please text or call Mary Breen at 724-612-8508 The bus will depart the venue by 9:00pm to arrive back in Pittsburgh by 10:15pm. Note: if you are staying at the Tryp Hotel, the bus pick up and drop off is across the street. However, you do not need to be staying at the hotel to use the bus service.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend guests arrive at 3:15pm to settle in for the ceremony which begins at 3:45pm. Please arrive with enough time to be seated by 3:30pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Garden party formal please - our wedding is outdoors in August on a woodland botanical farm. To dress for the weather and location, we recommend lighter fabrics and colors. There will be walking on grass, so if you choose to wear heels, we encourage chunkier wedge heels!

A few important guidelines requested by our venue

- The entire venue (indoor and outdoor) is non-smoking which includes vapes and e-cigarettes. - Please do not bring plastic water or beverage bottles. We will provide water, non-alcoholic, and alcoholic drinks - If you are driving, drive only on paved/designated surfaces Thanks so much!!

Can I bring a date?

We are having a microwedding with a limited number of guests. Unfortunately, our venue cannot accommodate extra guests outside of those listed on invitations.

Our menu currently includes gluten-free options. If you have other allergies or requirements please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate!

Directions to venue

Venue address: 266 Marcie Ln Portersville, PA 16051 The GPS destination may not align with the location, so take note: If you're coming from I-79 and 488 to Heinz Camp Rd, you'll drive for about 1/2 mile before there's a long stretch of woods (with no houses) on your left. Just after this stretch of woods (and before you descend a long hill) start looking for the Marcie Ln road sign and Forest & Flowers Retreat sign on the left. When you turn onto Marcie Ln, follow the paved lane straight back. A parking attendant will be there to direct you.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

After our reception (10:15pm - late), we plan to celebrate by bar hopping in Pittsburgh on Butler St. Anyone is welcome to join! Sunday morning the 31st, feel free to stop by our place anytime between 10:30am - 12:30pm for a bagel spread to wish us well on our honeymoon or grab some food to-go for your travels!
