Gabby & Rob's Wedding

5:00 pm - 10:30 pm

University of California at Berkeley Botanical Gardens
200 Centennial Dr., Berkeley, CA 94720

Attire is semi-formal, fun & vibrant. It's a garden party after all! We want you to feel comfortable and yourself, show off your personality. Just come dressed for a celebration! Some paths at venue are uneven and outside so keep that in mind when choosing shoes.

Day Of Schedule: 4:00pm - 5:00pm: Arrive and explore the garden at your leisure! You will find a vast network of paths and trails that weave through different geographies and plants from around the world. 5:15pm: Time to take your seats! Make your way to the Mather Redwood Grove amphitheater and sit wherever you'd like. 5:30-6:00pm: Wedding Ceremony 6:00-7:00pm: Walk back through the trees and across the road to the Julia Morgan Hall for drinks and tapas outside on the deck. 7:00pm: Find your seats inside! It's time for dinner. 8:00pm-10:30pm: Join us on the deck for dancing and shenanigans! 10:30-?: Don't worry if you're not ready to call it a night after the last song - we'll be keeping the party going at the Kingfish Pub on Telegraph Ave.

Travel

There's not necessarily an "ideal" spot to stay right near the venue but the places below are ones with various prices that are rated well and centrally located. Airbnbs might be a good bet too. Generally, places in Berkeley, Oakland, or Richmond will work well. We can set up some hotel blocks once we get a guest count!

Hotel

Claremont Hotel & Spa

Berkeley, CA 94705

For those looking to splurge on a more upscale experience, this is going to be your spot. Very close to the venue and loads of fancy amenities.

Hotel

Signature Inn Berkeley

1761 University Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94703

Centrally located and easy going.

Hotel

Hilton Garden Inn Walnut Creek

490 Lawrence Way, Walnut Creek, CA 94596

This is farther out but a straight shot on the hwy and a good deal. Walnut Creek has lots of options for dining and hanging too.

Hotel

Marina Inn Berkeley

975 University Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94710

Hotel

Moxy Oakland Uptown

2225 Telegraph Avenue, Oakland, CA 94612

Puts you close to Oakland fun (and Rob & Gabby's house).

Flight

OAK or SFO

If you're flying here, the closest/easiest airport will be Oakland International (OAK), but San Francisco International (SFO) may have the most direct flights for some people. From SFO to Berkeley, a Lyft/Uber ride over to Berkeley will be around $60 - $70.

FAQs

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, we're tight on space and keeping a small ceremony, so we cannot accommodate additional pals who haven't been formally invited.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

It's a small wedding, and unfortunately, we can't invite everyone we'd want to be there, which includes children above the age of 3 :( Basically, if they need their own seat, get 'em a sitter so the grownups can dance. We know this makes it difficult for some so please reach out to us if you need help coordinating!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes! We have the whole lot to ourselves after 4:30pm. Find a spot and come on in. If you arrive earlier than that to mosey around the garden and can't find a parking spot there's more parking up the hill.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please do! When you RSVP let us know your needs and we will make sure you can eat.

Things To Do
