Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park

Estes Park, CO

The main entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is located just four miles west of downtown Estes Park. It is definitely a must see! We are planning on carpooling into the park on Monday, Sept 1st for a driving tour. If you'd like to attend, please bring comfortable shoes, as we may take short walks to overlooks.

Who Needs Coffee?!

Who Needs Coffee?!

Heather's done the coffee recon for "you" (as she told Patrick, despite his skepticism), and she's listed the four walkable cafes in Estes Park below! - Kind Coffee: indoor/(best) outdoor seating; mobile pick up available - Inkwell & Brew: indoor/outdoor seating; cute stationary shop too - Raven's Roast: indoor/outdoor seating; can do call-ahead orders - Riverwalk Cafe: mostly indoor seating; next to the Historic Park Theatre (the oldest single-screen motion picture theatre in the United States that is still operating today)

The Historic Stanley Hotel

The Historic Stanley Hotel

Nestled in a prime spot for breathtaking panoramic Rocky Mountain views, The Stanley Hotel stands as one of the Estes Valley's oldest and most magnificent historic landmarks. Built in 1909 by F.O. Stanley (renowned for the Stanley Steamer), it was conceived as an upscale resort and wellness destination. The Stanley boasts a rich pop-culture legacy. It famously inspired Stephen King's chilling novel, "The Shining," after he spent a winter night snowed in there. The popular comedy, "Dumb and Dumber," also chose this iconic location for filming. Given its connection to "The Shining," The Stanley has garnered a reputation for paranormal activity. For those intrigued by the supernatural, night tours are available to explore the hotel's active phenomena and intriguing spirit folklore. But The Stanley is far more than just a hotel. It's internationally recognized for its expansive whiskey bar, home to Colorado's largest selection of whiskeys and single malt spirits. Explore its tours:
